Financial advice - saving

Hi all, just want to ask opinion regarding my financial advice since most of news nowdays regarding bad economy and recession next year.

Actually I just got decent job with decent salary starting this month. To be truth my financial together with my wife just ngam2 every month since 2019. I would say no saving at all since very cukup2 makan and if got extra also around 200-300 per month but usually we use the extra saving for car service/repair so that we can commute to work easily. 2020 covid happen and we did not get chance to try jump/apply job for better salary.

Now I already got quite decent salary compared to before now at borderline b40 - m40 category(but living at KV area this category quite invalid). Our expenses still the same like before just we now got some extra money monthly starting this month.

My question are ;

1) Is it too late to start saving from zero even though we almost reached 30-series? I feel like left behind with more younger generation than me.
2) Can we survive next year bad economy or back to ckup2 makan like before?
3) Should I apply for any part time job on weekend?

Maxis or Celcom
Dear all, my company give RM100 for claiming telco use/month. Which postpaid telco do you prefer maxisone plan (RM98/month - 30GB) or Celcom Gold (RM80/month - 20GB)? My criteria :

-I travel a lot around including sabah and sarawak so speed and coverage are important
-Most of the time in main city - occasionally rural area.
-Work inside building prefer telco that have good coverage inside building
-If need to topup a bit above RM100 also can as long as the quality speed and coverage is good

Currently using Hotlink Red Pass (RM60/month - 10GB-unlimited social) and the usage data per month around 80-90% before finish depends on my frequent outstation. So far the speed and coverage are good for me. Average speed I can get around 10-20mbps for hotlink. If use main maxis(should be the same as hotlink?) or celcom postpaid can get around that speed or better?

Thank you.
