Preferably somewhere in PJ area.

The books are in good conditions and is just collecting dust.

Safe to give JPJ registration to used car dealer?

Hi,

I've got a question on trading in my car for downpayment of a new car.

I have already agreed with the used car dealer for the amount to be used for downpayment of the new car and clearing the remaining loan amount in the bank.

Today the new car SA told me that the used car dealer would want to take my car registration card first before releasing the downpayment amount and clearing the existing loan amount. It sounded fishy as i asked if there are any proof or receipt that you (the SA) have already took my registration card and will release the amount as promised. She told me no, so i ask if the used car dealer can provide that, she told me no and keep on insisting me that i trust her and give her the registration card.

So my question is, is this a normal practice for trading in your car and is it safe? What precaution should i take?

Recommendation for a new pc

Hi gurus,

I want to build a new pc, cannibalized certain parts from my old computer to save cost. My budget is RM1200 - RM1500, to play games in medium/high settings and general purpose computer (work, movie, VM).
Need recommendation for this parts

CPU: (Thinking of getting Phenom x2 550be. Is this a good choice?)
Mobo:
RAM:
Video card:
PSU: Currently i think i am using 420 Acbel PSU (Do i need to change it?)
Casing: Using my old casing
CDROM: Not needed. Using my current DVD
Monitor: Not needed. Using 17" CMV LCD (Changing to 24" later when got more moolah)

Need some advice on termination notice

Hi,

My current employer requires me to serve 2 months of termination notice. The thing is, i wanted to leave the company by 1 month time and i would want to compensate back to the current employer, but in my employment letter, it is not stated that i would need to pay back salary in lieu if i leave earlier (it is just stated "2 months notice").

The question i want to ask is, even if the employment letter did not state that i need to pay back in lieu of any outstanding days, could i do that?

Recommendation of new pc or gc

I am wondering if i should get a whole new machine or should i just upgrade my gc. All the games i play is so slow even though i turn down the graphics to low. I am just a casual gamer.

My current rig:

AMD Athlon 64 3000+
AGP Radeon 9800
1GB memory

1) Should i upgrade my GC? Is it worth it?
2) Should i just dump my whole machine and get a brand new one?
3) Radeon 9800 is equivalent to what model nowadays? It is not listed in Tom's Hardware VGA chart

Some question on Belkin wireless router.

1) Can Belkin router be flashed with DD-WRT firmware? Is it better than the stock firmware? Will it void the warranty?

2) How is the wireless performance of this router? Any disconnections? Stable?

3) How is the performance of this router under heavy load? (BT, Surfing, etc, multiple users)

4) Which model is the best? For normal usage(BT, surfing, multiple computer)

5) Compare to linksys/3com, which one is better?
