17" Primacy 4 to 18" PS4?

Hi sifu-sifus, I'm currently using 17" Michelin Primacy 4 on my Golf and thinking of upgrading it to 18" together with new rim.

Options I'm considering:
1) 17" Primacy 4 --> 18" Primacy 4 (Question - will this option still give the same comfort level as the current one or otherwise?)
2) 17" Primacy 4 --> 18" PS4 (Question - will this be a drastic change where I'll start hearing a lot of tyre noises and things like that?)

As I haven't tried any PS4 nor 18" tyre before, so can't really visualise how it's gonna feel after the upgrade.

Therefore reaching out to get your thoughts and advice, very much appreciated sifu-sifus!

Getting hit by stones/rocks at Highway

Hi guys, as per title - how do you protect your car from being hit by stones / rocks when driving at highway? Can see obvious scratches / spots at the front of the car after a 2 hours long highway drive.

Would 10H coating help? Please advise and share your thoughts / recommendations...

Tuning for Better Drivability?

As per title, has anyone tuned/remaped their car for "better drivability" like advertised out there? Not sure if tuning and remapping are both referring to the same thing and being used interchangeable? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, what are the different areas that they look into?
-horsepower
-torque
-gear response
-fuel consumption

If any of you have done any of the above, can you share your experience please?

Michelin Primacy 4 on VW Golf

Hello everyone,

Just installed Michelin Primacy 4 yesterday on my MK7.5 Golf TSI.

Previous - Bridgestone also a.k.a "Singapore Alloy" 225/45/17
Current - Michelin Primacy 4 225/45/17, made in Thailand, week 40 2019

Just my thoughts after using it for one night (it was rainy also), it's somewhat (not really obvious) better than the earlier one, however I can still hear the noise while driving and wondering if it's normal and meant to be that way? I understand it can't be completely silent, but it's more of the expectation vs reality thing. Before deciding to upgrade, I've done some readings around lowyat forum as well as other sources where Primacy 4 is famous for a comfort and silent drive which was the reason I went for it. The comfort part, yes as it's not as "rough" as the previous one, the grip part, yes also as I can feel it's much steadier while driving on a rainy night, but the noise part, hmmmm...

Can't do much as of this stage, but for those who've had it, can you share your thoughts and experience as well? I might have missed something there...

Thanks in advance sifu2 out there.
