Buying iPhone from USA

Has anyone bought iPhone from USA to ship to Malaysia? What are the taxes like? What procedures? Cos no matter what discounts given here, it’s still RM1000+ more expensive than ordering from USA. I’m just wondering about the tax once arrive Malaysia.

Thanks

Why no phone provider gives subsidised iPhones?

Anti-vaxxers paying for vaccine certs

What would you do?

I know someone (whole family actually) who will go to private clinic, pay for the vaccine, but won't actually want to get the jab, cos all they want is for their MySejathera app to show that they received the vaccine. Cos as we know without the vaccination certificate, you can't go anywhere, can't eat in restaurants etc. Their kids too will get these fake certs. One is 13, and the other is below 12. Guess she'll get it when schools start mandating mandatory vaccinations.

What morals do these people have? What about the doctor taking in such people? Which was why I myself advocate only PPV centres give the vaccination and not thru private clinics.

These people are faking, and are potentially harming others. They could be asymptomatic, and still spreading Covid-19 to others. What's worse is that the family runs a wellness clinic. They are also selling Ivermectin tablets under the Counter in unmarked boxes.

They're spreading rumours.. "Our cases are high because of those migrant workers", "vaccines are poison", "Covid is a product of US military wanting to weaken China" etc etc

Would you continue be friends with people like that?

Manual speaker configurations..

I don’t have the automatic set up, as it’s an old 2nd hand so I’ve got to set up according to what is already programmed by previous owner.

I’m having difficulty understanding the wordings... so I would appreciate if you can help me understand, or better yet, advise what’s a good set up..

Crossover frequency...
What do these mean? Full band, 40Hz, 50Hz, .... 200Hz. Please explain this setup like you’re explaining to your grandmother! 😬

Next... speaker levels
Level calibrations
-12 to +12 dB

What would be a good configuration for L, C and R, and Surround L, Surround R and subwoofer?
Now I’ve just put -11dB for L and R, -10dB for C, -13dB for SW, and -10dB for Surround L&R. Should centre be louder? Or surround? My surround are small bookshelf speakers.

This is not Atmos. Just plain 5.1 I think.

Thank you. Much appreciated..

Why A/V receiver in M'sia costs 3x more than US?

This is from an old thread which I'll continue...

https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2452988/all

Why is it US$1100 in the US (RM4645) and its RM6900 on Lazada?

Onkyo TX-RZ840 in USA... US$1100 (RM 4650)
https://www.cnet.com/products/onkyo-tx-rz84...er-9-2-channel/

But in Malaysia, cheapest from Lazada, it's RM 6900?
https://s.lazada.com.my/s.dksvh

Sure the usual excuse... Import duties, shipping etc.

But Onkyo is made in Malaysia.

Has anyone ever imported a home system receiver from Overseas? What are the Taxes?
