A question about sick kitten

I have this kitten about 3 months old, she was sick as she's not eating or drinking and had fever. its my first time keeping pets so i get nervous and worried. i brought her to the vet, the doctor gave an injection, deworm and oral medicine (antibiotic, fever table (which later being powdered)) and also some canned food.

when i came back, i fed the kitten with the canned food (with a syringe) as she's not eating by her own and fed her those medicines. for 2 days, the little kitten show no improvement and she vomitted and had diarrhea. something serius is, one of her leg seems swollen and she looks like handicapped and walk with only 3 legs.

then i get nervous again and went to the vet, the doctor again injected her with fever med and antibiotics, she was crying in pain. and the doctor said the swollen leg is caused by inflammation..maybe she sprained it, fractured, or some nerve problem or even bitten by insects ! the problem is, the kitten is in my room for 2 days, and i gave a close care of it.

i left the kitten in the vet for 1 day as i felt its good for the doctor to monitor its condition. who knows the next morning the doctor called and said my little kitten passed away.

what i want to know is whether is the medication that causes the leg to swell? any opinion from people who experienced it or professionals are welcomed. thanks abundant.
