Hi guys,

I planning to install amp, component speakers and woofer on my car.
I spoke to installer, he told me after installing amp, for sure FM signal will be affected. Like when passing through signalling tower or high rise building. FM audio will become blur or sudden drop out.
He says that's because the amp is converting from DC to AC and it is affected by engine interference also. He says no matter what brand of HU or what brand of amp, it will also the same, even top of the range also.

Btw, I am from JB and no digital radio for me. In KL you have digital FM so it will not affected. It will only cause problem to analogue FM signal.

He also says manufacturer nowadays don't focus on improving fm signal hence this issue will not be resolved unless we have digital radio signal.

This is the first time I heard of such thing, I just want to know is it true?

Configure router to use static IP provided

Router: TPlink TL WR 702N nano router

Problem details
Problem description:

The main router's DHCP is turned off and I do not have access to turn on DHCP. For a PC to be able to online, i need to configure that PC to static IP.

So now I bought a above mentioned router to plug in to that switch cause I wanna use wireless. But the TPlink wireless router seems like unable to configure itself to use static IP.

Does anyone knows how to configure that? I tried put the wireless router to use router mode where but seems like the router cannot be configured to use static IP provided.

Any help?

Comfy sport shoes recommendation

First of all, i am not sure this is the right place to ask for such recommendation or not. if it is not, pls kindly tell me the right place to move my thread over. TQ

I walk(fast walk) abt 2km each day to work. My current sport shoes already torn and wanna get myself a new pair of sport shoes.

My requirement:

1. Must be very comfy sport shoes.
2. Good Grip
3. Good control (cause I walk fast and need to chase time, some time some mild running too)
4. Design wise must not be too bulky (coz i find my current is too big)
5. Durable and long lasting.

My preferred brand will be ADIDAS. Anyway, still open for other suggestion.

Please recommend me the brand and also the specific model. Otherwise I have no idea which model to try out.

budget RM 300 or less.

Details of the complaint :

The seller " x132755 : http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showuser=146713 " promised to sell me a Samsung Champ Duos E2652W handphone with 2 years SME warranty. I paid RM410.00 to his account on 23 Oct 2011. The phone came with a receipt stated 1 year warranty, then i questioned him back. He said the 2 years warranty set not available anymore and can only give me 1 year warranty. I was dissatisfied with it as I wanted a 2 years warranty and that is why I deal with him. I even reconfirmed with him regarding the 2 years warranty before I bank in money to him and he confirmed with that in PM. He should have told me if cannot provide me 2 years warranty set before I bank in to him.

He said will help me get 2 years warranty registered but will now, still not register any E-warranty yet. I had been asking him a few times regarding my E-warranty registration, he kept saying that he will proceed the warranty registration for me. Then later part he said can only register 1 year warranty and refund me RM20.00.

I demanded RM40.00 refund and 1 year warranty since I can get RM360.00 from shop outside with 1 year warranty also. But he said cannot and told me that the max is only RM20.00 discount. I got pissed as till now I still don't see any warranty SMS confirmation nor any money bank in into my account.

Yet he said will try to help me to get 2 years warranty from supplier "again" on 2 Nov 2011. But today is already 7 Nov 2011 and I still don't see any update on my E-warranty registration. This is the first time I get cheated from an online DISHONEST seller.

I seriously need help here. I will be going to Shah Alam Seksyen 17 by TOMORROW MORNING. I only know how to take express bus from JB to Bandar Tasik Selatan. My final destination is Shah Alam Seksyen 17. Anyone is kind enough to tell me how to go Shah Alam Seksyen 17 by PUBLIC TRANSPORT? I called to one of the express bus company and he told me they did not pass by Shah Alam. I seriously need fast answer here. Please tell me the estimated travelling time for me so that I can plan in advance. Many thanks.

PS: I prefer public transport except TAXI. If need to take TAXI, please point me to the nearest distance from Shah Alam Seksyen 17 to minimize cost.

How to install multiple softwares at one go

Hello guys, i need help here.

i need to install more than 10 softwares for each PC when newly formatted.
i feel bored by clicking one after another.

then i googled juz now and found out there is actually "ninite" and "allmyapps" that could do wat i wanted.

but they are all need to download softwares from internet.
i already hv all the installers locally and would like to install them without internet connectivity.

the "allmyapps" claims can do it offline but i tried register but seems like not working.

so can any1 kindly enlighten me how to solve this problem?

upon reading for several months, i hv come out with an low-end RIG which suits my need as below. pls gv me some comment. My budget is ard RM 1400.

Casing: CM USP 100 Transparent RM 200
PSU: Seasonic S12II 520W RM 230 (I cannot find 430W version in Malaysia, but I like this brand's low ripple/noise level)
Mobo: Giga H55M-USB3 RM 370
Proc: Intel Core I3 540 RM 333
HDD: Samsung HD103SJ 1TB RM 183
RAM: Kingston DDR3 1333Mhz 2 GB RM 92
DVD-RW: Reuse old IDE Lite-on. Still working somehow...

Total: RM 1408

I hardly play games, so i think built in IGP should be fine to me. Most important is that i want it to bitstream HD audio and durable as i will bt 24/7 non-stop. The above pricing i get from local JB store. so it might be a bit more expensive than KL.

I going to use this RIG to play Original Blu-Ray ISO file with very high bit-rate, so how is the CPU utilisation will be? coz i tried another PC, which is Pentium D 3.0Ghz, the CPU utilisation was very HIGH. causing system lag like hell.

I will be getting this RIG in 2 weeks time. Is it ok? But Sandy Bridge is releasing soon, but i need to wait again for review then it will be another few mths to wait....but on the other hand, i might afraid once new CPU line up is released then the current line up will raise their price...but i think the above spec should be enough for my usage rite?

Laptop for Engineering student usage

Hi all, I am helping my friend to post here. His old laptop gone bonker already. So he plans to get a new laptop.

Budget: RM 2.5-2.7k

Usage: BT, watching movie, surfing, paper work, needs to run CAD and CATIA smoothly as he will be using them

Others: 3 years warranty, durable, 15" or smaller.

Currently thingking of DELL, Toshiba, and ASUS.
But not sure which model and specs suits him.

So, I need some input here.

P/S: Is DELL providing site pickup/site service for laptop servicing (clean dust and re-apply thermal paste from time to time) w/o charges? I think the rest need to send back to service centre. If DELL can come to his house pick it up to service his unit, then it would save lots of hassles.

So, any suggestion?

i wanna watch video here: http://video.xin.msn.com/browse/tv/show/with-you. but it says not supported in my region. i think should be region restriction. video is from singapore. so i tried google for region bypass, then tried some Singapore IP and port keyed in to browser setting. but still cannot get it.

then i tried proxy site. it works, but can when i click the video i want, then it comes out error.

so i wanna ask, is there any way to make the server/host of that video website "think" that i am from Singapore. so that i can watch the video. of course, without any payment service. thank you

Have you called your ISP's helpline?: no. coz not their problem

Modem: centralized in melaka. if JB then typical modem
Router: built into modem
Firewall used: windows firewall

First occurence of problem: 2 weeks back
Problem frequency: always
