            <title>Need advice on Firewall setup</title>

            <description>Hi network security expert aka. sifu sifu out there,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I need some explanation on what is the pros &amp;amp; con on setting up firewall in such a way.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Recently my office replace a fortigate unit.&lt;br /&gt;Vendor come in &amp;amp; setup in such a way.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;BTU(Huawei) -- Router (Dlink DIR842) -- Fortigate (Fortigate100) -- Switch (HP)&lt;br /&gt;BTU (LAN port 1) connect to Router (WAN port), Router (LAN port 3) connect to Fortigate (WAN port), Fortigate (LAN port 1) connect to HP floow switch.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Can anyone tell me what is the function the Fortigate  device act in this setting.&lt;br /&gt;To my understanding, Dlink router is doing the routing work.&lt;br /&gt;Fortigate is doing the firewall &amp;amp; filter work. (Correct me if i am wrong)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Attached fortigate wan interface setting. &lt;br /&gt;What is the pros &amp;amp; cons under this setting?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What is your advice?&lt;br /&gt;Thank you in advance.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; [attachmentid=10364161]</description>
