Salary for Fresh Grad with CCNA

Hi, will the salary for a fresh grad for the position of Network Engineer (or other similar network related positions) be higher if the candidate has a CCNA? If so, how much higher? A few hundred bucks extra? How much?

I need the information to negotiate my salary. I will be getting my CCNA before I start my new job next month. Can I ask the company to add RM300 to my basic if I get my CCNA before I start the job? Will they accept it?

Network Engineer/Analyst Job for Fresh Grad

I've been applying for network engineer/analyst job at a few companies for a while now. Most of the companies did not reply. So far, I've signed up with a few online job recruitment agencies like jobstreet, etc and submitted my resume to a few people who know of network related vacancies but I've not heard of any encouraging news from them.

I don't know if I'm doing this the right way. Am I not being proactive enough? I'll be taking the first half of the CCNA exam end of this month and am confident of passing it. What else should I be doing to get a network engineer/analyst job?

This is just for your info:

Degree: B.IT (Hons) majoring in Security Technology from Multimedia University (MMU)
CGPA: 3.17
Additional info: Took CCNA course in uni. Was quite actively involved in co-curricular activities. Was in the Student Union (MPP).

Fractured wrist

About a month ago I met with an accident and had fractured my left wrist. The fracture was close to my thumb. Now, after 3+ weeks of wearing a cast and some minor exercise (on my own) I am able to use my wrist. However, I can't bend my wrist upwards to the maximum extent. It's very painful if I attempt to bend quickly. If I try to bend my wrist slowly, it's less painful.

I'm just wondering how long it would take before I can get full use of my wrist like I had before the accident. I intend to go for weight training (did some before the accident) so it would help a lot if I can regain the strength that I had. Nowadays, I can lift stuff but have to be very careful. Any wrong or sudden movements would cause a sharp pain.

Have any of you guys experienced this before? What should I do to get strength back to my wrist? Is there any medicine or ointments that I can apply?

Thanks.

CGPA Class

Hi, I am a bit confused about the classes of CGPA. In MMU, 3.67 and above is classified as First Class and 3.34 - 3.66 as Second Upper. However, some of the websites that I browsed state that Second Upper is 3.00 - 3.5 and First Class is 3.51 and above.

I need this info because I have to state my CGPA class in my resume and some online forms. My current CGPA is 3.21/4.00.

Please advice. Thank you.

I've been scheduled for a phone interview at F-Secure soon. Can anyone advise me on what to do and what to avoid during this phone interview? What is the job scope like for interns (or fresh grads) at F-Secure? What is the working environment like? Will employees be sent for courses like CCNA, CCSP, MSCE, etc?

I'm an IT student majoring in Security Technology from MMU.

I need tips for the phone interview.
Developing a Router Simulator

I'm currently doing a project which requires me to develop a router simulator in Java. The simulator is similar to Boson Router Simulator but in a constrained environment.

I would like to ask if anyone knows where I can get any sample codes for developing a router simulator. It could be in any programming language and not necessarily Java. I need to look at the way the simulator is implemented because I have a lot of questions/problems to solve. Please help.

Thank you all.

I'm in final year of studies at MMU (B.IT (Hons) Majoring in Security Technology). I've looked around for some titles for my final year project but none of them seem interesting to me. Could you guys help me by suggesting some titles that relate to networks, java and security? Thank you.
