Town House Vs Terraces

Hi, Im new in property talk. Hope to get some information on Townhouse and Terraces.

From what i understand Townhouse can be more expensive. But if is 2 units which is sharing the same land, how come the price is only a little bit cheaper compare to terraces (sometimes more expensive). Any pro and cons on land issue?
