So I don't wanna disclose much info on this guy but let's say we sat down and chatted about loans and other financial stuff. He told me he was in debt with Shopee SpayLater and SLoan which both combined accumulating at RM5500, he is required to pay at around RM800 per month. He told me that he is going to clear it all this year if he sticks to his plan, he had drawn out this plan where he will pick up another personal loan from AEON of RM5000 with 12 months repayment of RM450. I asked him why, he said because instead of paying RM800 per month, he now only pays RM450.. I told him that it was a bad move to pick up another loan to pay off old ones because he is digging his grave deeper and deeper, while yes it is a lot less to pay per month but the time it took to repay all of them is another 12 months. I advised him not to but he told me this was a smart move, I beg to differ, he told me he COULD pay the Spaylater and Sloan without the need to pick up another loan but doing so would mean he is forced to be frugal, what do you guys think? Is this really a smart move or is he just a retard?

Hi, I need some legal advice from people here who might have the same kinda experience as I'm facing right now. I don't want to disclose a lot of information so I'll narrate the situation as best as I can.

Let's say I own a land which is currently being occupied by random people. Could I cut off their electricity and water supply? I tried googling this but I couldn't find an answer, while yes it is against the law according to specific Akta but the problem is there is no contract, black and white documents where I let them occupy my land, my late grandfather let them occupy the land WITHOUT any form of documents that legally lets them occupy it. He did it out of kindness in his heart (Stupid I know) But now that I'm the sole owner of the land, I want to kick them out, currently waiting the court order to draw out the papers and notice to vacate the premise. Though that will take around 4 Months.. Someone suggested that I should cut off their power and water supply for the time being. Do you guys think this is permitted by law for me to do this considering we don't have any tenancy documents? They're basically occupying illegally without our approval.

Friend of mine owes me money which he had been paying me monthly in a fixed amount but recently there's some unforeseen circumstances struck him to which he wasn't able to pay me at all, he offered me his ASUS RTX 5090 TUF OC which priced at RM15k retail in Lowyat plaza but I'm not sure if it's a smart way for me to accept this as payment? Lots of LYN members tend to lowball you like crazy lol. I'm hoping to get 11K so I can get my money back. There's nothing wrong with the GPU, he still kept the receipt, there's 2 years local warranty with 1 year from ASUS. What do you guys think? Should I accept this GPU as payment?

Where can I replace iPhone's battery?

Went to machine and switch few days ago and I spoke to them about battery replacement. They all told me that I need to make an appointment and leave my phone for a week to replace, do you guys know any alternatives? I just want it done on the same day because I work and I need to use my phone, I don't have extra phones laying around. I tried googling and I saw few options that offers cheaper (Mind you, price isn't my biggest concern because I just want it done on the same day and uses the GENUINE APPLE PARTS) Some of the these stores claimed to be using apple parts but they re-use old adhesive without replacing it so that's another downside for me. Can anyone know recommend me a place?

Is google drive worth it?

I been wanting to store my personal files lately and I thought about cloud storage. I saw google drive offering RM42.90 per month for 2TB but I'm kind of a bit stingy with money because RM42.90 per month is like RM500++ in a year, I feel like I rather use that RM500++ to buy myself a portable HDD or SSD. I feel like google drive is good for work usage where you need to store files for other colleagues to access, what do you guys think? Like in terms of personal use, should I go with cloud still or just buy external drives?
