Setup for HT

Dear Sifus,

I'm having some doubt on how to set up the system properly. Currently I am playing my files via direct hdd connection to the TV. I plan to setup my 2.1 home theater with a receiver.

Does it have to work this way?

HDD USB --> TV USB
TV SOUND OUT --> RECEIVER SOUND IN / TV HDMI OUT --> RECEIVER HDMI IN

Is this the way to set up?

Just wondering if any shops in KL accepts trade in for.. lets say AV receivers for upgrade?

Hi Guys,

I just got my sharp aquos panel changed and was told the panel cost 4000 if it is not in warranty period. I've got my LCD for a year and lucky it was a 1+1.

It could be my luck but generally i would want to know if any of you guys have problems with your LCD... if have.. how many yrs till the problem occur?

Hi All,

My yamaha manual seems to be wrongly printed. Can anyone with the manual give me the Pioneer DVD remote control codes at the end of the manual? It is under appendix.

I downloaded the manual online.. it seems to be different.. still using 4 digits.. the one in my manual is 5 digits.

how to solve door/glass rattle?

Hi All,

Want some of your advises.. basically when I watch a movie.. the bass from the sub will cause my door to rattles... how can i solve this problem? It's getting quite irritating and I have to watch my movie with the door open so I don't get distracted.

Hi All,

I'm in the midst of setting up a 5.1 HT and want some of your opinion. This is my first own HT, don't think my expectations are high.

Currently I have a old Denon which I plan to replace and a pair of Klipsh kg 5.2 which I plan to keep as my front.

For my amp, I'm kinda locked in Yamaha RX-V663.

For my sub, I'm deciding between Velo CHT-10 and Whaffy SW 150.

Rear and and Center Speaker.... no idea...... I was looking at AE Neo or Whaffy Diamond .. or anything thats lower range...

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Been reading LYN almost every night... tired d...
