GUA MUSANG (Bernama): Another orang asli villager in Kampung Kuala Koh here, who showed symptoms of lung infection, died on Sunday (June 9) morning, bringing the death toll to three.

The victim was receiving treatment at the Kuala Krai Hospital (HKK) the past few days but was transferred to the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital (HRPZII) in Kota Baru when the victim's condition became critical.

However, the hospital has yet to release details of the individual.

The victim is believed to have used overflowing hill water that is alleged to be polluted.

District police chief Supt Mohd Taufik Maidin confirmed the latest death toll due to the disease.

Locals claimed that 13 people had died since early May due to a "mystery illness".

Supt Mohd Taufik denied the claim, saying police investigations had not found graves to support it.

"We hope the villagers in Kampung Kuala Koh will constantly keep in touch with the police especially in reporting deaths to facilitate investigations," he said.

He added that based on the latest update, 119 villagers were taken for treatment and six, who were critical, were sent to HKK.

"Of the number, 19 are still receiving treatment at the Gua Musang Hospital (HGM) while four victims are placed at the Gua Musang orang asli transit clinic," he said.

On the two earlier deaths, he confirmed that the victims also died of lung infection.

Meanwhile, Paloh assemblyman Amran Ariffin urged the authorities to get to the bottom of the matter.

He said that it was feared that the contamination came from an iron ore mine nearby.

"We hope this outbreak will be contained soon to prevent more villagers from becoming victims,” he told Bernama after visiting victims being treated at HGM.

Mohd Fazdzli Mahmok, a religious teacher to the orang asli community there, complained about the slow response by authorities despite the problem having surfaced in early May. - Bernama

Recently I watch hong Kong YouTubers introduce mm2h. You know many are considering living in Malaysia due to the riots and uncertainties in HK. Seems like Penang is their top priority. They compare Penang new housing with HK standard. They talk about their divided cubicle rooms 劏房 are more costly than thousand sf condo in Penang. Then I see the Penang sohai reply in comments, seems like they are forgetful about Penang past and ungrateful to people who brought them out of poverty.

Before I go Alzheimer's, I want to tell all you ignorant sohai that 90% Penang residents were poor fags actually lived in hell divided cubicle rooms before until 1980s. These are the typical housing they used to live.

1) Big prewar house own by rich fags. Due to high demand, they tried to make do as many rooms as possible in the house, hence divided cubicles. They sublet every room to one family. You know how big is the production of boomers? One couple can produce up to 14. 6 children consider average, 7 is normal. All squeeze inside one fucking hell 劏房！Whole house has two bathroom and two toilet only.

You can see in P Ramlee movies, pretty teacher, bujang lapok, banker, penjaja, kuli all live under one roof. When they fight, they can throw rubbish from gap of walls to next door because it's divider walls. I think kl is no better but at least they are singles unlike Penang boomer families.

2) prewar house live by owners, up to three generation squeezed in one house, can you imagine how they share their rooms?

3) prewar house shared by owners and tenants. Still same hell conditions.

4) One room flat 300+sf, completed in 1970s. That time consider luxury as compared to above. Whole family squeeze in one room, at least they don't need to share toilet and kitchen with other families. Kl also get same luxuries at the same time.

5) illegal squatters. There's a case in 1980s paya terubong, these self-entitled squatters fight with developer until a woman died. Then they portrayed her as martyr.

6) kampung house in pendalaman. At least live like human. But life as farmers and fisherman are tough. Due to inefficient infrastructure, they rely on middleman to transport and sell their products, make very little money hence living in poverty. Their house kosong one, no electricity and electrical products.

7) 1970s completed landed house and shop lots. This for small rich families who were among the first started to prosper after merdeka.

8) rich fags big house and bungalow. Biggest houses lowest occupancy. Some owners live in overseas, bungalows here live by maids. Some is live by mistress and maids, no full family. Not for poor fags to dream one.

I can tell you 1-5 made up 90% of Penang people. 6-8 is like 10%.

1970s onwards, PDC started to build small apartments, from 500sf (completed 1980s) to 700sf (1990s) to 800sf (2000s). Also have low cost landed in pendalaman. Enough supply for every families. I dare to say every Penang people I knew (except group 8) own /lived in a pdc project before at least once in their life time. These are leasehold though.
