Such a move affected the centre completely. The Director also used his own business funds to pay for the centre’s expenses, but his business has slowly declined due to the pandemic,”

“As a last resort, the director also drew on the centre’s reserves to pay for the centre’s expenses. As a result, the centre has financial problems, but there is no other choice,” they added.

You can contribute to the ShanDai Welfare Home Centre through online banking:

Account number: 8881040000310 (Ambank)
Account name: Pertubuhan pusat penjagaan kanak kanak cacat shan dai selangor

The orphanage is registered and recognized by the government

Once completing a transaction, you can send over a receipt to their social worker, Marcus, so that they can record every donation and issue an official receipt.

FREE Old Folks Home In Malaysia is rare ....... hopefully some forumer here can donate and help them accordingly.

More about them at :
SOS 1 - World of Buzz

SOS 2 - Facebook Page

Coverage by World of Buzz :

It’s truly saddening when the elderly are left by their families in old folks homes, though it is understandable that some of these families may not have the funds or capabilities to care for their elderly family members the way that they need it. Thankfully, old folks homes have been doing their best to look after the elderly folks who have been entrusted under their care. However, they too, need all the help they can get.

And they’ve been doing this out of kindness, as they do not charge fees to take in elderly folks in need.

This welfare centre located in Taman Seri Serdang presently houses 13 elderly folks from different backgrounds. They offer care to the elderly while providing them with a safe environment to call ‘home’.

The Xiao Xin Serdang Old Folks Home also hopes that more people of the general public will visit and spend some time with the elderly aunties and uncles that call the centre home so that their hearts can feel full knowing that there are people out there who care.

How to donate

They shared a breakdown of their monthly expenses to help the general public further understand their circumstances.

Rental: RM2,500
Meal expenses: RM7,200
Medical expenses: RM2,000
Staff salaries: RM1,800
Utilities: RM400
Transportation: RM200
Other expenses: RM500

“Anyone who would like to contribute to us for food, daily necessities, and others are warmly welcomed,” they shared.

Ambank account: PERTUBUHAN KEBAJIKAN ORANG TUA XIAO XIN – 888 103 459 2429

Visiting hours are between 9am to 5pm.
Location: No 1687, Jalan 18/46, Taman Sri Serdang, 43000 Seri Kembangan, Selangor.

For any inquiries, you can contact Mr MK at +6011-2124 4463.

It’s truly amazing to see how the team behind the Xiao Xin Serdang Old Folks Home have dedicated their lives to helping others in need and are willing to put in the work to care for the elderly.

Inspiring phrase on donation:

1 Timothy 6:7 = For we brought nothing into the world, so we cannot carry anything out of it.

Job 1:21 = "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away."

Hope all reader can donate or help them......

Where to make customise mattress for toddler-baby

Me want to ask if anyone here can let me know where to make a mattress for my 3 year old ?

The baby cot which we are currently using at the moment is no longer suitable for my toddler.

We do not wan to buy a baby bed as it is too high and could fall down during sleep.

We intend to buy a mattress only which will be lower and more suitable.

Available in the market is mostly single bed mattress size which is too narrow in width. which will have the risk of falling down from the side of mattress.

As such, we are wondering if there is any place or factory out there which we can make a custom size mattress for my toddler ?

We target to find something like 5ft x 5ft mattress around 6 inches thick will do....

Anyone faced this problem b4? any other solution besides buying a customize mattress?

We are based in Selangor / Petaling Jaya area..... so if there is any place nearby, it would even better for transportation of the mattress.

Thank you in advance.....

Anyone got experience in forced relocation ?

Situation : Recently, i got a distant relatives .....long long time also no contact liao....suddenly call asking to pinjam money from our family ....... huge sum in 5 figure category....

Our Reaction : We surprised and ask why need to so much money for what ??

The story / problem : The head of the family of our relatives, say the father of the family was doing some dodgy business and was caught by authorities..... All our relative also dunno that he was involved in such business......This is logical to us as "biasa lor" since its not 100% legal, we understand they keep it a secret.......

Since being caught by Authority, he was relocated / buang negeri to a state far far away from their origin.....easily 400++ km away from his home..... only the father being involved in the business so only he was relocated to small town and not his entire family.....We were told that he needs to go Balai Polis to sign a book on a daily basis to ensure he is still around that area.....

His family is still in his hometown but wanted to relocate to join where the father is......hence need to borrow the large sum of money for the relocation purpose.....

All the above were told to us by the mother of the family..... and according to her, their family have spent a lot of money after his arrest for lawyers, negotiators and etc..... we cannot verified this and just 'hear say' only....as we are not involved in that world.....

Our concern: We are afraid, if we pinjam them the money, it will end up in gambling or other reasons (ah long problem) instead of what was told to us (relocation).....

Question:
1) If someone is being relocated / buang negeri .....can their family go and join him at the new location ?
2) Normally need to stay at the new location for how long ? 1-2 years only issit ?
3) We assume he is just relocated only right ? he is free to move around in the new location and can still look for a job in the new location ?
4) Does Govt give them any allowance like prisoners have? small amount for pocket money also good else how can one survive if this was forced relocation ?
5) Can the family join him in new location and settle down in new location ?
6) Their Chinese family consist of father, mother and 2 kids...both not even primary school yet......hence partially pity on their situation if it is true....

Anyone here got experience in this ? Can share experience ?

I see there is ppl here in this Forum that had been into Prison before and have answer a lot of question......but what about this forced relocation punishment ?

Any fruitful reply is welcome !
