"Their actions are not founded on lawful authority and are contrary to the policy of the Federal Government, all the more so in view of the fact that the Federal Government's policy has already been made into law and enforceable throughout the country, ” said Azmin, who is the International Trade and Industry Minister, in a statement on Monday (May 4).

Study: Malaysian Women Have the Second Smallest Boobs in the World

A study published in The Journal of Female Health Services, presumably using boob science, has determined that Malaysian women rank 107 out of the 108 countries listed in a study about bust size, beaten only by The Philippines for the world’s smallest boobs. According to the study, our neighbours Vietnam, Thailand, and Singapore, and Indonesia all have larger average bust sizes.

On the other hand, the world’s biggest breasts belong to American, Canadian, and Irish women respectively. Researchers studied the natural bust sizes of 340,000 women aged between 28 and 30 from all across the globe. They confirmed that there’s a variation in breast sizes between women from different countries. Studies on more than 2,500 Malaysian women found that the average boob size is smaller than a standard ‘A’ cup.

“The smallest average breast volumes [belong to] women born in Africa and Asia, particularly in the East Asian countries. The cup size ‘A,’ or even smaller, was found to be the average cup size in many of the countries in these regions,” researchers said.

The titillating study even went as far as to say most women in Asia have “flat” breast shapes. Unsurprisingly, there’s been no study on boob sizes for Malaysian men.

However, Malaysian girls shouldn’t heed any jeers or titters (sorry) as studies by Malaysian researchers have shown that the majority of men actually prefer moderately endowed women.

Citing a New Zealand study, it’s shown that most guys are happy to look at boobs of any size.

As Michael Castleman states in Psychology Today, “Many men insisted that when they fell in love, they fell in love with the women’s breasts, whatever their size.” Studies aside, beauty standards are extremely subjective anyways. Everybody prefers different things and most people are looking for more than just looks.

Ultimately, the people that will truly care for you will love you regardless, so it’s for the breast if that you just love and accept yourself for who you are.

Latest Scam Method?

I've recently received calls (both at home and also in my office) regarding me defaulting on a personal loan. It goes something like this:

there is no mention of my name or any identification of the caller (i.e. which bank or account details). it's all automated and sounds very professional (very good BM). however, i've never taken out a personal loan in my life, so it's definitely a scam. i've never tried pressing 9. i think i should have just to find out who is on the other side but am afraid the scammer might get pissed off and try to steal my personal details if i don't fall into their trap.

do you guys receive such calls? if so, do you entertain such calls just to find out who the scammer is?

Boat carrying Rohingya arrives in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: A boat carrying dozens of Rohingya refugees from Myanmar arrived in Malaysia today and will be allowed to enter the country, but an expert played down fears of a new exodus.

It has been rare for Rohingya migrants to attempt the sea routes south since Thai authorities clamped down on regional trafficking networks in 2015, sparking a crisis across Southeast Asia as large numbers were abandoned at sea.

But there have been concerns desperate migrants might start taking to the high seas again after mainly Buddhist Myanmar launched a new crackdown last year that forced about 700,000 members of the stateless Muslim minority to flee to Bangladesh.

Local authorities intercepted the Rohingya boat off Langkawi, after it was first spotted at the weekend off Thailand, said Royal Malaysian Navy chief Admiral Tan Sri Ahmad Kamarulzaman Ahmad Badaruddin.

"All 56 passengers, mostly children and women, are tired and hungry but safe," he said.

"We have provided them with water, food and other humanitarian assistance. The boat and its passengers will be handed over ... to the immigration authorities."

The coastguard said there were 19 men, 17 women, 12 girls and eight boys on the boat.

The navy and coastguard had stepped up patrols around Langkawi – where Rohingya have come ashore in the past – after the boat was spotted of Thailand's west coast at the weekend and its passengers said they were trying to reach Malaysia.

Chris Lewa, of Rohingya advocacy group the Arakan Project, said the vessel was thought to have left a week ago from the Rakhine state capital Sittwe. She did not expect many more to be following.

"April is the end of the sailing season so we don't expect many boats now," Lewa told AFP.

Ismail Sabri reiterated that another two IT malls, with a similar business model, will be opened in Kota Damansara and Shah Alam by June.

The MARA Digital Mall is situated at the third and second floor of the MARA-owned Atrium Busana mall on Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman here.

Details of the complaint :
This was a COD deal which was done at KLCC. The seller delivered the phone as expected (although in a much worse condition than in the photos), but the phone is not the issue. In his thread, it was specifically mentioned that the phone should also come with a earphones, charger and USB cable (no ori box, apparently). Seller only gave me the earphones and said there was no charger or cable. Being in a rush, I did not argue with him but after checking his sale thread, confirmed that the items should be incluided and msg him via whatapp. He acknowledged his "mistake" and said he would send the items to me in a week's time. That was the last I heard from him. I sent him a few more whatsapp msgs to ask about my items. He read one (displayed as read in the chat logs) then decided to ignore the rest (muast've blocked my number or something). Even my SMS to him has been ignored.

I know you all might think that a USB charger and cable is a small issue but a deal is a deal and the least the seller could do is honour what he promised.

IKEA Malaysia delivers Items (with a dose of Porn)

Here's the story....

I ordered a MALM single bed frame and a JOMNA mattress (go look at their catalog to know more) on the 21/08/2012 and they delivered it on 23/08/2012. I was at work when the delivery came, so my maid collected on my behalf. I also paid for the assembly of the bed. When I came home, I went to inspect the bed in the room. The were no problems with the bed. However, as the title says, the mattress came with more than what I expected.

As you can see, the wrapper for the mattress is still intact with the delivery sticker still attached. Nothing was removed or torn. How the hell did the DVD cover manage to get under it? My maid thought it was just a advertisement picture that came with the mattress. However, upon closer inspection, it's obviously not. Thank god there were no children to see this, as the bed was meant for a baby/kids room. More puzzling was the fact that I personally collected the mattress to pay before carrying it over to the Home Delivery section to have it delivered, and I did not see anything unusual during that time.

I've posted this on IKEA Malaysia's facebook page. I'm not expecting anything from them (except an apology), but I hope that they will tell their horny warehouse staff to not bring their private DVD collection to work.

"According to preliminary data, the Proton rocket that took off from Baikonur at 1:25 pm (1025 GMT) took a wrong trajectory," said a Russian space agency source cited by Interfax.

"Consequently, the booster rocket could not put the satellites in the intended orbit and it fell back with them into the atmosphere," the source added.

Once separated from the Proton rocket, a second-stage booster rocket with the three satellites aboard should have put them in orbit about 20 kilometres (12 miles) above the earth.

"The ballistics experts have checked everything: the upper-stage rocket with the satellites is not on the main, intermediate nor emergency orbit," a source told RIA Novosti.

The three Glonass-M satellites, weighing 1.4 tonnes, were supposed to complete a constellation of satellites already put in place by Moscow.

Putin said in April that Russia planned to equip all new cars sold in Russia in 2012 with the new navigation system, developed by the Russian military in the 1980s.

He said Moscow planned to launch a total of seven new Glonass satellites which would ensure coverage of the entire planet, bringing to 27 or 28 the number of operational satellites.

Russia would spend 1.7 billion rubles (40 million dollars) in 2011, after two billion rubles spent in 2010, Putin said.

Rokosmos, the Russian space agency, said in 2008 that Venezuela and Cuba were interested in adopting the new system.

Russia's defence ministry confirmed the loss, but insisted Sunday's accident would not affect the roll-out of the new positioning system.

"There are currently 26 satellites in the Glonass constellation, including two emergency satellites. This allows complete coverage of Russian Federation territory," the ministry said in a statement.

"The Russian space industry's capacity enables us to react rapidly to what's happened," it said, adding that the system would be fully in place next year in any case.

Dismissing An Employee

My company recently dismissed (i.e. terminated / sacked / etc.) an employee, who was suspected of stealing spare part supplies. However, the company was not able to produce any evidence. Basically, this was what happened leading to his dismissal:

1) This employee was working as a technician for nearly 14 years. He works together with another technician, who joined the company about 8 years ago. They both have full access to the spare part inventory. (Please do not ask what they repair...doesn't matter). No strict control was enforced.

2) A few months ago, the company realised that certain parts in the inventory did not tally. They started monitoring the technical department and found suspicious activities with that employee. During the investigation, they found that the employee always took frequent breaks (not including lunch), sometimes lasting up to 30 minutes, leaving his colleague behind to handle the workload. His reason was he went to the toilet. However, he was seen several times by other employees leaving the premise of another competitor just a couple of floors above during these breaks. He was also always not at his workstation and always chatting on his phone. His technician colleague overheard several times of him mentioning certain part numbers over the phone and haggling about the price.

3) As they could not catch him red-handed (it's a very small company, no CCTV, etc.), the Managing Director decided to take matters into his own hands and restricted all access to the spare parts, shifted the parts to another location and started a very strict logging system. However, things started to get messy from there. The other technician didn't have a problem with the new procedures but this employee started complaining about how troublesome it is, etc. Then, last week, when the MD walked into the technical dept. to ask the other technician to conduct some repairs, this employee exploded and started shouting at the MD, accusing him of ignoring him, making life hard for him, treating him like a junior, etc. The whole office was shocked (including some customers), and the MD lashed back at him, demanding why he reacted this way. However, no action was taken against this employee.

4) A few days ago, this employee wanted to get some spare parts for a repair job. As access to the spare parts was now being controlled by the MD, he had to ask permission from the MD b4 being given access. While waiting for the parts, the MD asked him if he had returned a part for a previous job a while ago (which was aborted), because it was not recorded down. The employee said yes, but immediately after that exploded in front of the MD, accusing him of not trusting him, always questioning him, etc. That was the last straw for the MD, coz the very next day, a letter of termination was issued to the employee.

Now that the story has been told, here is what I have to ask:

1) The employee did not sign any contract nor was he issued any letter of employment when he first started work. In light of this, the management issued a cheque for an amount which includes this month's full salary (even though it's not end of month) + 8 weeks pay in lieu of notice in accordance with the employment act. (minus EPF and PCB deductions) However, in the termination letter, no specific reason was given for his dismissal except that "his services are no longer required". Is this the correct way to proceed?

2) The employee has signed his termination letter and accepted the cheque without any hassle. However, after consulting with the labour office, it's said that because there was no valid reason for his dismissal, it has to be treated as a retrenchment case and the employee is entitled to retrenchment benefits, which would be loads of money coz he has been working here for so long. The company is willing to pay to avoid any problems (shows how much they hate that employee). However, is this true? (the employee has yet to file any complaints). The company is currently consulting the company lawyer b4 proceeding.

3) Does this employee have a strong case against the company should he file a complaint with the Labour Office?

Windows Vista "Flashing" Taskbar Problem

I've recently assembled my rig and it's currently running on Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit.

However, after installing all essential drivers (chipset, gfx, etc.) as well as SP1, I began experiencing weird stuff with my taskbar. My taskbar is set to hidden, but every 5 seconds or so, my taskbar does a super-lightning-fast pop-up, like..errr...a flash of lightning. Also, the status bar on some windows I open flashes as well...like it is trying to refresh itself.

1) I suspect this has something to do with SP1, coz I only noticed it after installing SP1. However, I'm also running Vista Business with SP1 on my Vaio and never encountered this sort of weirdness.
2) If it's not SP1, then i suspect that it is the Nvidia drivers. I'm using the latest official drivers (175.19) for my 9800GX2. The latest beta drivers are buggy and i do not use them.
3) i'm not the only one experiencing it. Look here and here.

If someone has experienced this b4 and solved the problem, please let me know. but it better be soon. The flashing taskbar is driving me insane.

Info you need to know b4 giving comments:
1) Budget is set at RM5k-6k for the core system only. Budget does not include "non-core" items such as dvd-rw, keyboard, mouse, speakers, heatsinks, fans etc. You can give comments on these items if you want to. I'm looking at gaming keyboards and mice such as the Logitech G15, G5 mouse or something from Razer like the Lycosa keyboard. Speakers should be a 2.1 system. I've allocated another RM1k (max) for such items.
2) I'm looking into the compatibility of the items, as I would most probably be assembling the PC myself. So if there's any that is incompatible, let me know. This is important as I will be overclocking my system.
3) PC will mainly be used for gaming (hence a gaming rig), but also for some programming (mainly VB and web) and some amateur photo editing.
4) If I listed down several options for a component, do recommend the best option and the reason for choosing it.
5) If i left out any essential component, please let me know.
6) If u know the cheapest prices in LYP for these parts, please let me know also.
7) Specs will be updated accordingly once it is finalised. Once items have been purchased, assembly shall commence.
8) This is not a bragging thread or a thread to show off my "immense wealth". My hard-earned savings goes into this PC to replace my aging 6 year old P4 dinosaur and I plan to build another PC to last me for the next 5 years or so.
