I don't know how the financial planner comes up with the 5.46% EAR. The difference in starting and ending year/time of a few days due to leap year/common year shouldn't be large enough to explain the nearly 50 basis points difference in EAR.

Excel file for reference: [attachmentid=11472038]

Appreciate if anyone can shed some light.
Unable to Post after Security Verification

-- Please keep your post concise to ensure a speedy review from us. We suggest 250 words or less. --

Hi, I would like to inquire as to why I am repeatedly redirected to the security verification page whenever I want to post something on the forum.

I just click on the "Add Post" button and the image below is shown:

The above "security verification" page is shown for a few seconds and before I can do anything, the browser redirects me again to the forum's main page.

hence, I can't post anything at all.

Thanks for your assistance.
Dear admin/mods,

Please kindly check if there is anything wrong with my account security as I could not logout of my account (I am not in Malaysia at the moment, I am in Hong Kong, not sure if this is the reason why the page appears).

I encountered the same page earlier too when trying to login, but manage to login after clicking the "registration" page and continue my login from there.

Thanks for your assistance.
So, Ramjade got a new home I hope. You can "promote" you DIY-"premium" strategies here. All Q&As, discussions and "debates" regarding options and their strategies are welcomed.

QUOTE(small forumer @ Oct 11 2021, 08:59 PM)

Hi, I'm new to options
Is it really worth it for selling options?
From my understanding, you'll get the premium as "dividend" by selling options.
But what if the price goes down alot and the option got executed, isn't that loss might be huge comparing with the premium?

WARNING to beginners and the inexperienced: Options are highly risky and are strictly NOT for the faint-hearted. Basic understanding of the underlying securities of the derivative products (here, options) is definitely needed.
HK Virtual Bank Discussion

Anyone tried using HK virtual banks services before?

I opened a Mox account today (I swear I have read the fees and charges page. https://mox.com/legal-documents/fees-and-charges/)

https://mox.com/

Interface looks decent and clean. 1% rate compounded daily with no lock-in fixed deposit is very appealling to me, compared to the 0.001% paid by Hang Seng Bank. I have now moved my money out of Hang Seng into Mox. The transfer is instant.

And most important of all, you can open the account from anywhere, unlike ZA Bank which require you to be physically located in Hong Kong so that the app will appear in Google Play.

Look forward to earning my 1% interest. Even that rate beats the HK ibond which are traded at a yield of 0.8%.
