How much lower do u guys normally negotiate?

Dear all/ gurus,

Firstly, i'm sorry if i opened up this thread for this noob reason. i unable to find this topic in this forum ( perhaps, i dont know what is the key word to use for searching on this matter).

I would like to ask how much lower ( in term of %, perhaps) do you guys normally negotiate with the seller/agents from the asking price? Is it too much for asking more than >5% lower than the asking price?

For example, the asking price from the seller for a unit of condo was stated at RM320K in the property website. The unit is still in good condition and no major renovation required after viewing the unit. Can i negotiate and ask for selling price at RM300K? ( ard lower 6.25% than the asking price).

Many thanks for your valuable input.

Chemical Engineer Vs Chemist

Dears,

i 'm 27 years old dude , graduated with Degree in Science Chemistry . Current, i 'm a chemical engineer in semicond company and has been working for 4 years.
Most of my course mates are working as chemist and a few are working as Engineer. Somehow, i do regret to take this career path to be an engineer, instead of a chemist. ( quite stressful , low pay, heavy workload, and " engineer = super kuli" , all sum up as no life)

i wish i can change job and be a chemist. There is a vacancy in a pharmaceutical company that requires chemist and i am tempted to apply for it. My concern:

-which has a better prospect/future/career btw as a chemist in pharmaceutical and as an engineer in semicond company?

- which industry will offer good career/prospect as a chemist??( Example: Pharmaceutical /biotech, coating+paint , semicond, chemical , food/FMCG, etc..)?

I'm in dilemma and called it, quarter life crisis....

Thanks for your valuable inputs...
