i wanna share my thoughts as an old unker on /k.

my opinion is that those rajin threadstarters from Polaris, robertngo, everest, hack3line, all the way to Ukeke and Murrowping, is beneficial to the discussion & growth of the community.

there are so many instances where i didn't agree with what the topic is about. but overall it stays true to the essence of "Kopitiam", which is a place for malaysians to hang out and share our thoughts

and u know what I noticed? all of these people are gone.

Threads nowadays are less varied, posts are usually fluff and pointless. Less interesting content overall.

I cringe hard when I see how some of the users here treated him. You don't need a PhD in Psychology to know that there is probably something not right with his personal life.

This is my real opinion = some of you really need to take a long hard look in the mirror and accept that you are quite black-hearted.

He might have some issues but why not just ignore his topics when u don't agree with him? Pushing your angst to a potentially mentally unstable person, what does that say about you?

How would u feel if your kid encountered this issue when he or she logs on the Internet?

Anyway I just want to put this out there because I feel a lot of rajin thread starters are gone 1 by 1, and the discussions are a lot more vitriolic now.

A lot of you guys like to reminiscent about the good ol' days, criticize politicians when they're playing the race card, but how about you set a good example here in /k first?

I rmb even just a few years ago the discussions were a lot more nuanced. got different cultural perspectives etc

nowadays the discussion is heavily chinese-centric, and maybe abit of negative bharat news by maybach

Today I'm going to share a true story from my family that proves one thing: CCP infiltrated our country long before.

Western hotels mushrooming alongside Tiananmen Square, common folks buying up personal property, government aggressively privatising state assets.

He fell into a deep depression. Wondered what he fought for all his life has been for nothing. At the end, he came back to Malaysia, and hung himself in his own bedroom.

My dad witnessed everything. He turned over a new leaf, started a family, and eventually had me.

few months ago, I made this AI agent system for my boss.

basic stuff. basically automates boring workflows, got image & video gen models, etc. can help sales & operations pipu etc.

my boss very proud go around borak2, telling everyone he saved the company millions in agency fees. i was like, ok la as long as happy.

then he starts to follow stupid ppl like Sam Altman on social media and thinks he is an AI leader. i start to get worried.

eventually my fears came true.

last week he briefed me a new task. basically now he want the agent to do everything in the company.

and when i say everything, i mean everything. cover everything from tech, customer service, data analytics, marketing, semua.

he just expect to click "Approve" or "Reject" the AI proposal and everything will flow like clockwork.

how do i tell him politely that he is fucking delusional?

i need to tread this needle carefully because he come from helang family, his daddy is the group MD, and i need to milk this cow as long as possible.
