many message me ask me to predict who will be the champions of this world cup.

this scope is under my another colleague, and i am only expert in english football. however, since the request is overwhelming, and it is not fair to reply in private message to the benefits of just a small group of individuals, i will just tell it here for all to know.

in 1966, england won their first and still the only one world cup at home soil, when no one expected them to win.

this time, in 2026, USA will win it. that's all i will disclose, i will not reply this this thread anymore, as that's the agreement with my colleague covering this topic, thank you for your understanding.

He won the title last season with Klopp team, and he thought he is the best coach in the world, and he took all the credits above the team. He thought he can easily build his team.

Man Utd bought Sesko.

They are here to challenge for EPL title this season, and win it next season.

They are not here to win Carabao Cup.

Premier League 2025/2026 Review

26th May 2026

1. Chelsea
Last season there were many new players, this season the players started to shine and played fantastically as a team and won the premier league following the success from the World Club Cup. Liam Delap and Joao Pedro proved to be shrewd signings with plenty of goals. But it is the reliable defence won the title for Chelsea this season.

2. Man Utd
Sesko, Cunha and Mbeumo formed a formidable and lethal forward line that saw Man Utd ended the season as the team that scored the highest number of goals. If their defence was better or if they had signed Donnarumma in the summer, they could have pushed Chelsea further in the league title.

3. Man City
Despite Haaland finished as top scorer, Man City relied too heavily on him getting the goals. Marmoush failed to deliver when it mattered and the defence was erratic at times. Man City stumbled from early title challenger to finish in 3rd.

4. Arsenal
Gyokeres might have solved Arsenal inability to score last season, but their performance is too inconsistent to mount any league challenge this season. Perhaps the pressure got to Arteta and he stepped down at the end of season despite still finished in top 4 and qualifying for Champions League.

5. Liverpool
Too many changes in the squad saw the down fall when the team unable to play with coherence. Inability to sign any good centre defender proved decisive when Virgil van dijk was injured in November and out for 20 games. Arse Slot was sacked in March when it was clear that Liverpool would fail to finish in top 4.

6. Newcastle
Manager Eddie Howe did his best helping Newcastle to finish in the best position possible. It is apparent that Newcastle would struggle to challenge for top 4 as they failed to land many players they have targeted and dirty tactics employed by Liverpool in unsettling their main striker Isak.

7. Spurs
New coach Thomas Frank made Spurs an exciting team to watch and new loanee Palhinha played a star role in the team, but Frank will need another season or two to make Spurs a fearful team again.

Man Utd will rise again next season!

To all Man Utd fans, yes it is disappointing, but don't despair. Man Utd will rise again next season. I will address all your concerns here.

1. 16th in league table: This is not a concern. There were many off field issues, so when Man Utd knew the league title is no longer probable, Man Utd concentrate on Europe. Man Utd did very well in Europe. If the form in Europe is transformed to next season league, Man Utd can be at least in top 4 next season. But cup competition is always risky. Man Utd should beat Spurs, but due to bad luck in one match, lost in final. Same thing happened with Spurs when they should have won the champions league final against Liverpool, but lost due to bad luck and referee error.

2. Financial issue: This is not a concern. Yes, there are loss revenue not qualifying for CL. But the owners are super rich. They just park the money somewhere else. When it is needed, the money will be moved back to the club. Owners will surely make sure Man Utd remains the biggest in England.

3. Manager: This is not a concern. He is a winner. He came in mid-season at the request of the club to have headstart and access the club earlier and plan in the summer. He will do well next season.

4. Players: This is not a concern. Man Utd players are all good international players, playing for their countries. See Antony, McTommy, Rashford. All did well. They just need motivation. They only lost one game all season, and it is unfortunately the final. So, don't be too harsh on them.

Try to be gracious in defeat. If you already have 13 millions, why bother about someone who has just earned his 2nd million.
