Laptop display problem

My Dell Inspiron 1420 monitor is having a problem. The top hotizontal lines is flikering and the whole screen freezes every other second. If I connect directly to the plugpoint, the screen loses its display and the whole screen cahnges to orange colour every other second. Is the lcd having problem or the mobo fried? How much to get repaired and where in LYP can I get it repaired? Buying a new lappie is out of the question.

Securty Center Stopped Working

I need help guys. My Vista's Security center has stopped working. Consequently, my KIS 2010 has also stopped working. Tried Restore function but still unresolved. If all fails I think I may have to reinstall everything. Anybody can help?

Help...wanted to transfer photo but....

Help..I wanted to transfer several folders of photos to a DVD but now its missing. I'm using Vista & what happen was I just right click the highlighted folders and send to the DVD writer. After it has finished transferring to the buffer before burning, I didn't notice the DVD tray was open and I accidently click finish. Now all the folders are missing. How do I recover the folders? Oh its my friends laptop. Now I'm in deep shit.
