Sharing 3G connection through a router

Got a bit of a weird situation here, here goes:

ZTE MF831
I have a 3G/LTE connection to share, which is connected via a new LTE Modem.
This modem uses somesort of new Ethernet emulation mode so we can access it via 192.168.0.1 instead of those traditional connection software.

D-Link DWR-112
Now I have an old 3G router (that have a USB port to plug 3G modem), but this one do not support my new modem because it's rather old.
This 3G router have a "3G / Wi-Fi" mode switch which I suppose it turn the router into a regular router if I put it on Wi-Fi?
This router also access through the same address 192.168.0.1

Here is the thing I hope to achieve if possible

LTE/3G connection via USB Modem -------> PC --------> Old 3G Router act as Wi-Fi hotspot

I had seen some guide online and I noticed my router do not have a bridge mode option.
I also cannot access the router, since the USB modem used the same IP address, when both devices plugged to PC.
Is the setup above even possible to achieve with that router without the bridge mode?
Can we change the router default 192.168.0.1 to something else?
I don't understand crap about networking...

I know I can easily create hotspot with a Wi-Fi USB dongle. But unfortunately the range is very low.
I create the hotspot in my room, it pretty much unusable at my living room.
So I plan to use my old router as access point instead, since Ethernet cable can be rather long.

Stupid question about USB PCI card

I wanted to do some mod but don't want to spent another hundred to purchase necessary parts to do USB extensions.
Then I saw my existing USB PCI card (the ancient PCI... not PCIe), that it has an internal USB port.
What is that internal port for beside using it as a regular USB port?

Does it act as "input", so the card can actually function without connecting to a PCI slot? That it simply become a USB pass-through hub?

What I mean is... mobo <- USB male-male cable -> card internal port -----> 4 ports external out. (while not connected to PCI slot)

Problem with network no service or barely having 2G connection, totally not usable.

Issue since, 24th Evening, after heavy rain and black out in local area.

Location: Syn San Too, Jalan A, Batu Kawa, 93250 Kuching, Sarawak.

Landmark: right beside Tusita Hermitage (location marked on Google map)

Both Umobile and Maxis services are down, no 3G, barely have 2G but mostly "no service". The only one intact is Digi who working just fine even with LTE.

Please fix immediately... Thanks. CNY no internet at home forced to pay extra for Digi, that sucks.

Got a Dell Optiplex 960 quad core desktop with dead mobo here, if possible find an ancient artifact mobo cheap cheap cheap cheap, can rebuild it into SFF...

Pardon my newb question but those ISP websites really confuse me a lot.

First month bill is null?

Despite they say the device is free, but the upfront payment is seriously a lot, enough to just purchase the device directly and get your sim card elsewhere. Moreover people can just choose prepaid and not locked in contract.

What is such visual problem called?

Recently my LCD power adapter broken so I dug up an old CRT monitor for temporary use.
Now I fixed my LCD and start to notice something irritating me - it's not smooth compared to CRT.
My PC spec on my signature. Screen is Samsung 21.5" S22A350H. Catalyst Driver 14.4.

While gaming and in motion, let say I moving my character in Path of Exile, environment and text labels are "vibrating".
I can't take screenshot to illustrate it because if I do that, the screenshot is completely fine, but the visual on my screen isn't.
It's not a big problem for other game or not very "visible", but apparently it's quite annoying in Path of Exile.

It's not frame rate problem with games, I tried all sort of settings, full screen no full screen, vsync no vsync,
VGA-DVI or HDMI, changing between LCD refresh rate mode (it have normal, fast, fastest). Nothing seems to help.

What's such problem called? Is it my screen just can't keep up?

I knew this issue exist before, but not really bothered with it since I been looking at the same LCD for years.
But after I look at that ancient CRT... I saw the difference

I looked around in many threads concerning such "motion blur" issue but everyone seems to claim it's LCD problem.
Although I do suspect the game visual engine does amplify it a lot more compared to other games.

Pretty old LCD there.
I really hope just the brick explode (yea, there was explode sound...), not the whole LCD KO...

Power Surge

Not sure if recent thunder strike actually damaged something.
I had been experiencing PC crash with the reason of power surge (error displayed on boot screen). Not really frequent, just twice within 3 days now.

Inside BIOS also displaying the exactly same numbers - 3.3v is operating around 2.8v.
Though I don't really have a voltmeter to confirm that. I certainly hope those are false numbers...

What is S.T.A.L.K.E.R.?
Stalker is a survival horror FPS sets in The Zone - area surrounding nuclear disaster of Chernobyl power plant back in 1986.
Fictional story begins on 2006 where explosions happens in The Zone and mutants been sighted. Although the military restrict entry to the area, people smugglers into The Zone to seek fortune - artifacts sells for high price to the outside world. These people are known as Stalker.
The game is more to open world exploration rather than taking a ride along scripted events.

What is Stalker Lost Alpha (LA) & Shadow of Chernobyl (SoC)?
SoC was the first game of the Stalker franchise released back in years 2007. However majority of the early assets of SoC was scrapped. The release version was less spectacular than what was promised and shown in trailers, and many functions were missing.
This is where LA steps in, brought back all the old mechanisms, maps, mutants back (with author tweaks of course in addition of extra contents). Even if you played SoC many times before, you will be shocked on how different The Zone in LA looks like compared to vanilla SoC.
It is definitely amazing to see this over-10 years old game engine been push much further, The Zone had never looks so beautiful, detailed, and lush with vegetation before.

how to borderless print?

I need to print a book cover with Fuji Xerox CP105b laser color printer,
but there always a 8mm border (total of left + right size), and about 3mm at the bottom. I don't mind the top side since it is empty.
even if I set margin to 0 in the printer setting it still give me border (the picture been cutoff at side)

HDD disconnect

Had a problem with my Samsung 1TB HDD for quite some times.

My rig have 1x Plextor M5S 128GB SSD and 1x Samsung 1TB HDD.

The problem is the HDD sometime disconnect while computer is running.
Luckily my Windows is on SSD so PC still functional despite the HDD disconnected.
Usually I only realize it when I want to access files around, such as my desktop is placed on HDD drive.

In power setting I already put [never] for HDD turn off so shouldn't be that problem.
I tried change to different SATA cable but still same issue.
Don't think is PSU cable problem? Since the SSD also on the same power cable.
Don't think is mobo "degrade"? (it's Asus P8P67LE Rev.3) Since it happens on whatever port I use.

That HDD dying? Already over 3 years I think

USB audio out to PC

Am wondering if it is possible to connect Nexus 4 phone to PC with USB cable, and allow the audio of phone pass to PC.

Since I don't have a 3.5mm-to-3.5mm audio cable now, I can't link audio with the headphone output.

Network Devices Error

Today came to office and the PC seems not starting smoothly, it's been a while that I suspect something wrong with the GTX560 graphic card (sometime not detected and visual output revert to onboard VGA...)

Bigger problem when i try to connect internet and nothing works.
After a little messing around I try to re-install LAN & my 3G driver and they worked again.
But there are tons of other strange devices in device manager with error icon as shown below:
What's up with this windows?

I tried to un-install them but they didn't go away at all.

Corsair HX750 plug mistake

Ok, so today I decided to get a high quality power supply, so I grab a Corsair HX750.
Everything was fine until I try to plug in the PCIe power... One of the modular plug is wrongly installed on the PSU...

How can such thing happen on such high quality brand?!

Sure I can just test the power current to see if the pins wrong, or just the plastic shell wrong and make adjustment.
Anyone else seen such problem before? I tried Google a bit but don't see anyone mention such issue.

Edit: update your Windows to the latest possible patch might fix the problem. At least it fixed for me.

After lots of search... So the f***ing in-game browser just f***ed up on my computer. No wonder NOTHING load.
It worked on my office PC though.

Solution? No idea. Maybe run the Windows Updater (working on it now)? Turn off firewall (not working for me). Or change to Windows 8 beta (will do if all else fail).

Maica/Maitop textures

I am wondering where can get complete set of Maica & Maitop laminate textures, seamless & even better if in high resolution, suitable for 3D rendering?

It's been super inconvenient doing renders without proper source for those textures to get exact match. Scan may not be the solution for all of them since repetition easily spotted as the sample is quite small.

Laptop dead?

My Asus UL80VT laptop seems to have boot problem for a while now, usually need to boot a few times, sometime even just have to try booting into the mini Linux thing (forgot what the name) by pressing the GPU switching button instead of power button.

Yesaterday night still fine, boot once and went in. Now today try to boot it... it never start anymore. I'm pretty sure the HDD don't even run. All LED lights are ON, something must be stuck. But I have no idea where the heck is the BIOS reset switch... So the screen just blank and the heat output from the vent is kind of high. Unplug the HDD and all RAMs, same thing happens- LED all light up, screen blank, hot air coming out... zzz

The laptop bought september 2009, so it's been almost 3 years. The freaking electronic lifespan comes to an end?
