The ex-wife came to KL on Wednesday for some church related meeting. She asked me to meet them somewhere near their church if I wanted to see my son but I had a meeting to attend here :-

Place was rather packed as plenty had come to see the xmas deco... (majority race..... yeah probably will be saying halam.... takpe ambik selpi dulu)

I told them to make their way to the 6th floor and get a table as well as start ordering, I'll join them later. The ex again came with her husband, his 2 brats and the little one.

I've always liked this restaurant as I always felt it's the best mix of world Chinese cuisine. Food quality has always been good or excellent.

I told her what to order and I didn't have to wait too long for food to arrive as I made my way to the restaurant.

This was ordered :-

Then came this dish.

I didn't order this one, the ex ordered it for herself as it's something she enjoys.... me? I hate cold chicken unless it's Coronation chicken.

Then came this :-

I took a piece of beef from it and had a spoonful of the soup. The beef was good but the stock was a bit watered down and not being a racist but the Vietnamese does a better beef noodle. I tried to feed some noodles to my brat but he spat most of it out.

Then came the dumplings :-

The JZ was absolute crap, tasted as if it had been steamed too long and then left on the counter while waiting for a waiter to deliver it to the table.

The XLB was decent though I've definitely had better. My little brat definitely liked it presumably because it was salty.

Then came these :-

The fried rice was decent, the prawns was very fresh and the chef certainly had some skills to do a proper fried rice. There were 2 plates of this, I only took 2 spoons mainly to taste as these days I don't really eat rice past 2pm.

The salted egg prawn wasn't up to my taste. I felt it was a bit too salty from too much of the egg white being mixed into the coating. Also tasted as if the oil it was fried in wasn't the freshest as had a bit of the old oil smell.

I added a vegetable to the order as it was somehow forgotten.

This is my favorite vegetable, I usually like it with a bit of pork strips and mushrooms but decided to have it plain today as just needed some fibre. It was a bit fibrous and pulpy, rainy season I suppose but disappointing it was served

I wasn't in a good mood as was disappointed and felt sad.

Disappointed quality took a backseat in order to maintain pricing as well as portion sizes. I'd have rather they reduced the portion sizes and kept the pricing and quality.

I felt sad that I had many happy memories in the past at this restaurant where good company + good food made for an excellent time.

Oh well.... a sad goodbye meal I guess as I won't be seeing this son for at least 6-9 months.

Earlier as I was heading out for dinner the following incident happened :-

I was walking towards our car when a pregnant lady approached us. She is in her mid 30s, rather bloated and plump, wore glasses and spoke like a typical penang ah lian. She started asking for help to open her tire.

My mistress gave her a dirty look.

Me : Do you speak English?

My mistress gave me a dirty and disapproving look.

PL : Can you help me open tayar?

Me : Open tayar?

My mistress tells her that there's a tire shop at the commercial area next to our condo.

PL : Yes, tayar pomcet.

Me : Right.... where's your car?

PL : Here.

She was standing behind a Toyota Prius C with a flat tire.

Me : It isn't that hard to replace a tire.

PL : I want go hospital checkup, now tayar pomcet will late.

My mistress tells her if she's in a hurry she should take a Grab car.

Me : Do you have tools?

She opens the hatch and shows me the spare wheel and the usual array of tools. I was surprised this car has a full sized spare wheel.

Me : Where's the jack?

PL : Jack gone mother house.

Me : Excuse me?

PL : Jack gone to his mother house.....

Me : No, the tool to lift the car.

PL : I dunno.

Me : Do you have the manual?

PL : Dunno where, last time take out put in house, then move house lost.

I pop the bonnet to see if it's stored there, it wasn't.

My mistress starts a lecture on how come she doesn't know her own car and now can't even find the tool, she should perhaps take her car to a tire shop. I ask uncle Google.... well it turns out the jack was stored under the driver seat.

I loosen the lug nuts, jack the car up and then remove the wheel. I examine the tire looking for the culprit that caused the flat tire. There wasn't the tire was as old as the car with lots of cracks.

Me : You ought to replace this tire, it isn't roadworthy.

My mistress starts telling me quickly change the tire and let her deal with her own problems.

PL : Sorry sorry, my husband say the tayar still plenty flower no need to change.

I place the spare wheel, it was certainly a new tire but definitely as old as the car.

Me : The tire is very old, you shouldn't use tires this old as its dangerous. Best not to speed with these as it could blow at any time.

I fasten the lugs and lower the car.

Then a Honda CRV sounds its horn, turns out I was standing on it's parking lot. It was driven by an atypical ah beng that's become an uncle.

Uncle asks the PL, what's going on and who am I. She explains to him the car had a flat tire and she asked me to help her replace the tire.

He goes at her clearly unhappy that she asked a stranger to change her tire.

Me : I guess you can take over now, I haven't tightened those lugs.

I go towards my car as the mistress gets naggy on why I didn't just leave her be.

Ungrateful sods.... not even a thank you.

Solutions for unclog GI pipes?

Does anyone know if there are any solutions to unclogging GI plumbing pipes?

Basically the house is a 1970s era PJ house, situation is the pipes that are from the pressure tank to the 3 toilets have become from 1" diameter to .1" diameter due to some kind of buildup inside the pipes. Basically the water trickles when you switch on the tap...... basically your piss is stronger and faster.

They had several plumbers visit and all suggested to replace the plumbing.

Basically looking for a cheap fix as the persons living there (mother and her adult brats) don't have money to fix the house and I don't feel like spending my money on a house that will never be mine.

I understand GI pipes were widely used in Britain and they also have similar corrosion issues but they don't replace the pipes instead they have a way to clear it. Are there any chemical or a high pressure washing solutions that might work?

It's generally not hard to spot an 80s era Proton Saga, Nissan 130Y, Toyota Corolla E80 etc.

However 1 car of the era you rarely see on the road any more is the 4th gen Honda Civic particularly those in 3 door hatchback guise. Also gone are the CR-X variants of these cars.

Any idea why that's the case?

While you lot were arguing which dupe is whose dupe, I steered clear of those toxic threads.

I instead put the top down on my Morris Minor and headed to the grocery store to stock up and get some steaks as well as clean up our place which is an absolute pigsty.

Living with 2 gwaimuis, an American and a Swede isn’t the easiest… 1 is a vegan and SJW and the other is not a vegan but also a SJW. Both however are absolutely filthy and messy. It took a while to clean up this 990sqft condo and holy shit that Hizero cleaner hasn’t worked so hard since it was unboxed I reckon.

Was quite hungry after that.

Cooked up this though only the Swede ate as the American is the vegan and she is on duty tonight.

Mashed mixed potatoes with cheese, cream and Dijon mustard. Brussel sprouts with garlic butter and LP sauce.

Strip loin steaks, I cooked it on an IKEA Sensual stainless steel pan as there wasn’t any other suitable pans.

Rare!!

Who else here believes that the best B40 workers are the ones from Sabah and Sarawak?

Any idea why is it these bunch can work so well in the peninsular but back in their own states whether they're a Dayak or a Dusun they get labeled as drunkards, lazy or unreliable?

Also why is it that there isn't more companies using them to fill up the void left by foreign labor that they rather be short staffed?

Any particular reason it doesn’t seem to be in any longer to keep a PRCmoi as a mistress any longer?

Know of at least 5 persons who had one but now no longer “keep” them.

1) Sudah insaf.
2) Local amoi from Kelantan replaced the PRC one… though the ex mistress younger and better looking.
3) Vietmoi replaced the previous PRC mistress.
4) Married a gwaipoh that’s 10 years older than him and said he didn’t need a mistress any longer.
5) A cewek replaced the previous PRC.

I don’t see HK or Taiwanese or PRC men getting rid of their PRC mistresses.

My PRC mistress came out of quarantine today.

I wanted to bring her to eat at The Ship which was nearby but she was adamant what she wanted to eat as she been researching it for the entire time

She wanted to go to a place at Sunway but we were closer to BB area so she knew exactly where to find it.

A ripoff like the sinoscam vaccine

First photo is celery with cashew nuts and eggplant fried in mala spices. RM22 and RM28

The 2nd is lamb stir fried with cumin and chilli flakes… similar to the lamb skewers you find in China, was alright though very spicy. Rm45

3rd is a pan fried roll has the pork and chives filling as found in the run of the mill dumplings you find in China. Rm12 for this. Quite tasty but salty.

4th that infamous scam of a meat dish, Guo Bao Rou aka sweet sour pork. This one is a bit different from the usual tomato sauce based ones, this one is a vinegar and sugar based sauce. Scam!!!!! It’s around 1cm thickness, the meat is as thin as a slice of ham at around 2mm. RM35 for this is as big a scam as that sinoscam vac.

I’m not in a good mood.
