Anyone here used this before? It's adjustable so you can adjust the gap between each panel or do fully covered
It's available in taobao and it looks doable to install myself but if anyone knows where I can get it locally that would be much more convenient or local contactor? how much they charge?

Car bombed by fireworks from neighbour

I got bombed by fireworks

Well, not me but my property. One of my neighbors was setting off fireworks past midnight as usual this year. It's annoying, but if a bit of noise disturbance was all, I could live with it.

Nope, I woke up in the morning and went outside, and my street looks like it's straight from the gaza strip. The houses at the end of the street literally got bombed by fireworks and left this black mark on their new gates, and my car was one of the victims. (dmg report below)

After asking around, I find out that one of the houses on the other end of the street was the culprit. Turns out a young woman and her mother (who were the only ones at home at that time) didn't know how to secure the fireworks properly, and the fireworks toppled over and sent a missile flying straight at the end of the street, even got video evidence of the fireworks mid flight through my neighbor's security camera.

I confronted them through the neighbor group chat to get them to pay for the repair of my car (around 5k). After flip flopping and stalling, they only agreed to pay half. My mom hearing this was furious and went straight to their house to demand they pay the full amount, and she actually got it in writing from their mother that they were willing to pay. However, after seeing the amount, they got their son to get back to me, and he's reluctant to pay up.

My other family members had quite a light reaction to this, and they wanted me to claim my insurance instead to avoid souring relations and probably save face, but I don't think I want to let them off so easily (they have expensive looking cars in their house so I'm assuming they are more than wealthy enough to pay up), plus my insurance premium would probably go up.

I did some research and found this:

But honestly, fireworks laws are so unenforced I don't even know if this applies. Made a report initially without evidence on who did it but nothing really happened. I'm thinking of threatening them with this to get them to pay up. If anyone has any ideas on how to pursue this it would be great.

ID vs MY, who got worse time management?

In my experience both have equally bad time management, often late and usually way pass the 15min grace period... but I find Indons usually acknowledge they're indeed late and will apologize, they're also more decisive on scheduling

Msian style like to use the word "around" a lot, like say "around 3pm" so they arrive 3.59 they still wont consider late cos still have number 3...
or they will use "before/after" which is crazy to me. "Before 3pm i come" so u show up anytime b4 3pm??
Some even get angry that I left after they were more than 1 hour late, the reason is bcos they already inform "will be a bit late"

Normally how long are you willing to wait for someone? 15mins? 30mins?

Why no distance rule for fireworks?

These are common sense but common sense not so common yo! I even saw two kids (look like 7-8yo) dragging and swinging around those long red firecrackers in the middle of the road on chor9, parents upload to ig story damn proud

BNM told parliamentarians that it would work together with the Ministry of Health (MOH) to control medical inflation by transitioning private hospitals to value-based health care. Value-based health care involves paying health care providers based on patient outcomes, rather than the amount of services they deliver.

Current priorities include the recent launch of Rakan KKM, the “premium economy” wing of government hospitals under the MOH, to “compete” with private hospitals; increasing drug price transparency; and strategic purchasing to reduce health care costs in the public and private sectors.

The central bank and MOF’s presentation proposed pooled strategic purchasing between public and private health care providers and transitioning to diagnostic-related groups (DRG) payment models.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim told the Dewan Rakyat yesterday that the Private Healthcare Facilities & Services Act 1998 (Act 586) will be amended next year to regulate private hospital charges by mandating DRGs to replace the current fee-for-service payment model. Schedule 13 of Act 586 only controls specialist doctors’ consultation fees and their fees for various procedures.

When asked in Parliament if the government would impose a moratorium on next year’s increase in medical insurance premiums, Anwar, who is also finance minister, said there will be no moratorium, but an “interim, reasonable, and small increase.”

DRG involves paying a fixed amount based on the complexity of the case, rather than itemising each charge. Hospitals receive a set amount (e.g., RM25,000 for a knee replacement surgery) – which is pre-negotiated between the payer and the hospital – and manage their resources within that budget.

On health care pricing, BNM and MOF’s presentation cited drug price transparency at the retail level. The MOH previously announced a drug price display mandate for both private hospitals and general practitioner (GP) clinics that will be enforced next year.
