Hi guys, would appreciate some help with deciding on a PSU for the following specs:-

CPU : Ryzen 5 3600
GPU: GTX 1070 (to be upgraded sometime next year)
MOBO : MSI B550m Mortar.

Hey guys, would appreciate some thoughts and opinions on the best monitor to fully utilize a GTX 1070.

Preferably looking at the following specs:-

144hz Refresh Rate
Freesync/Gsync
Must have DisplayPort 1.2a and above for Freesync
24-27'
1080p or 1440p
BUDGET:- RM1,100.00

Honestly don't know about the panels. The more I read, the more confusing it is and the harder it is to decide. I've read that VA panels being the in between of TN and IPS makes it neither here nor there. TN being the best for competitive gaming with the high response times and IPS having the best colours but slower response time.

Will be using for casual gaming like Overwatch and single player RPGS. Ive narrowed down the search to the following:-

PC freezes while gaming,looping sound is heard

Hey guys,I really need some help with this as it has gotten from bad to worse.
Initially,i had random issues with Team Fortress 2 where the game would suddenly freeze but i could still Alt+tab and do other things and a yellow triange appears on the toolbar. I can still get back in game albeit I have to wait about 20 secs for things to 'settle'.

Then it became worse. Same problem,but now i couldnt alt tab back into the game,all i could hear was the sound in the background and a black screen.

Now,its the worst so far. It randomly freezes my pc about 1-5 mins into a game,and i hear a sound looping behind,sometimes it changes and gets louder. But my PC is completely frozen at this point. I cannot alt tab or even press any buttons,its just frozen forcing me to hard reset the comp. So far it hasnt happened again after i restart but the first time i try doing it,it ALWAYS freezes.

Ive already tried reinstalling but alas,still fails. I dont have problems with ANY other games,ONLY tf2. And its my favourite game. I really need some help with this and I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out.

EDIT : Just happened again after i restarted and this time it happened while i was in the items page. Really feeling very sad about this and i think i have to quit tf2 for the time being until I get some help. I cannot risk spoiling my pc
And then i tried Half Life 2,and same thing happened while i was in the settings page.

My pc specs are : Windows vista home basic
4gb ram
Intel duo core E8400@3.00 ghz
Not very sure about the PSU..

I have already updated my GC driver to the latest 295 something i think and used MemTest and i dont have problems with the memory.

Which wireless broadband should i use?

Hey guys,i need some advice on which broadband service to choose. Its quite confusing to me but roughly this is what i would prefer :

Fast browsing speed,smooth online gaming with PS3,and fast download speeds for torrents without throttling (dl speeds of around 70kBs is already fast enough to me) ,and quota around 10GB is sufficient.
My budget is Rm90 or less.

Currently im using streamyx 512kBs (torrent dl speed around 10kBs) at home in klang but ill be moving to brickfields condo next week and i havent asked if theres a phone line but from what ive heard,you no longer need phone lines.Ill be using a desktop computer. So basically im sure any package out there will be better than what im using currently,lol..

So i just need some advice or suggestions on which provider has the best deal and some details about it. Thanks very much,any help at all is appreciated

(p.s. Ive already looked at maxis and digi pages but the wireless part is a little confusing to me..)

Problem with my PS3

guys,got a problem with my Ps3 :S

Yesterday i accidentally turned it off wrongly. While it was starting,i turned the button off behind the ps3. It still worked after i turned it on a minute later but then after playing FIFA10 for about 1 hr,i clicked the PS button on controller to quit but it jammed. I thought it was nothing so i just turned it off by holding power button down and then turned it off la.

Then just now i was trying to start it,i put in a game,the ps3 just freezes at as soon as the game loads. ( a black screen about 5 secs after putting the game in).
When shutting down,it takes long and makes 3 beeps then turns off. When i turn it back on,it says something bout problem when shutting down...

So now i cant play anything,and it doesnt shut down properly..

Really need some help on this. Is my ps3 dead? sad.gif
Is there any way to fix it..?

(Tried FIFA10 again,after playing,when trying to quit,i pressed the PS button and it freezes at the XMB page :S
Then tried another two games,whenever it enters the "Loading" part of the game,the ps3 freezes)

Anyone know and can recommend me any good shops around Klang,shah alam or Subang for repairing it?

Speeding Questions

I hope this is the right section to ask this,but ive been wondering about a few of this questions for awhile now :

1. What is the fine for speeding (going over the limit)?

I usually drive on federal from KL to Klang and vice versa and I only drive at non-peak hours so the roads arent busy and i drive at around 115 km/h (the speed limit is 80-90) and occasionally,ill speed up to 150 km/h. I was wondering, what is the fine for speeding like that?

2. Will i get stopped for speeding on the federal highway itself or will the fine be sent to my house address?

3. If i do get stopped by a cop for speeding,will the fine amount be different if he gives it to me there or if its sent to the house?

Monitor dark at the top

Hey guys,need some help with my monitor.

For some reason,the top part of my monitor has become darker than the bottom. I tried going through all the settings on the monitor itself with Brightness 100 but the top part is still dark. I even tried going to control panel and such but i cant seem to change it....even google didnt help much.

Is there anything i can do or do i have to take it to get serviced?

Im interested in modifying the exterior part of my BMW 318 1998 model.
Possibly looking to get a:

1.bodykit : M3 probably.
2. Paint-job -changing color from black to white.
3. Changing rims.

Anyone know any sites where i can try to preview what it would look like ( as in,build your own car sort of thing. Its a long-shot i know ) or easier,seeing completed versions of other modified cars?

Updating using Windows Updates

Hey guys,i was just wondering about this Windows update thing because problems arised previously.

Before i explain the problems,this are my specs:
Windows Vista Home Basic
Service Pack 1

intel core™2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00 GHz
4 gb ram
System type : 32-bit OS

Okay,now my problem

About 9 months ago i had this strange problem where my USB wireless Prolink internet thing would disconnect after about 30 seconds to 2 minutes being online. The light would go off and my network connections would show that it has been disconnected. I had a feeling it arose after i updated the Ralink and Atheros Network updates that were available...

I sent my computer to the shop i purchased both the computer and the USB net thing and they just reformatted it i think and it worked after that.

Now suddenly im seeing quite important looking updates like :

-Ralink - Network - 802.11b/g Mini Wireless LAN USB 2.0 Adapter

-Atheros - Network - Atheros AR8121/AR8113/AR8114 PCI-E Ethernet Controller
Download size: 41 KB

I chose to ignore 1 or 2 of the updates for some time. But now it shows that the ralink one is an 'important' update.
Everything is working fine. Should i risk it and try updating...?
I live in KL now and my comp shop is in Klang. I cannot afford to go all the way there just to be told to reformat my comp...

Should i attempt any of this updates...?

Im really bad at computer stuff so any help will be greatly appreciated.

Ive been using Maxis for over 3 years now (017) and only recently started using their features. One of it is the Activ5 or Activ10 thing.
I checked through *100# and added my friends number in the Activ10 list. But then i realized my each sms cost Rm0.05 instead of Rm0.01 which its supposed to be.
Any idea why its 5 cents and not 1 cent?

What can i do to change it?
Is there any other way of finding out why its not 1 cent per sms?

Wireless LAN keeps disconnecting

Windows Update suggested that i should update my USB LAN Network thing,so i accepted.

After all the updates were complete,my Prolink Wireless Lan USB thing keeps disconnecting after a few seconds (10-20 seconds)

I tried reinstalling the thing using the CD,but it still failed.
I tried to delete the update,but since it was an optional update,there isnt an option to delete it.

Please help me,what do i do?
