Specific volume/noti settings upon location

Hi,

I have searched and couldn't find this specific function.

Would like to know if there is a function where we can pre-set certain notification settings to be activated via location / Wifi connection / QR scan / NFC scan.

Example(s):

arrived in office and connected to wifi, android phone detects that the office wifi is connected and will put itself into "Work profile" e.g. phone volume preset at certain volume, only certain notifications will trigger.

Learning Japanese

Hi All,

My partner and I are currently working in Japanese Company and our top managements are japanese national.

We are thinking of enrolling ourselves in Japanese Language class in order for us to be able to communicate effectively as we find that our work would need to liaise japanese speaking individuals and documents would have japanese wordings as well.

Would like to ask whether is there any courses/classes in KL/Selangor region that is recommended? should we go for a 1to1 sessions or even should consider online classes?

we would like to build a list and then short list it in order for us to finalize quicker.

Hi all,

Got a problem that seems like only few will have (searched through google).

whenever I tried to preview trailers via mouse-over the video clips(tabs) , first is the whole screen seemed to hang but mouse still moving. The mouse can still move but when I want to click on my 1st click onto something, the whole computer freezes/hang. tried ctrl+alt+del but nothing comes up. even if i self memories(navigate) to the shut down option (using windows button) i couldn't do anything.

the only thing is to press the reset button and all is well.

has anyone encountered this problem? is there any way to get the error logs?

Hi all,

first of i'm sorry if this section is not meant for this topic. please do direct me if needed.

currently living in a condo which we have a special needs person living within a unit. To my knowledge is that she lives alone (over 30yo) and would sometimes have episodes of screaming and throwing things out from her unit.

we do not know her background but the management has contacted the parents regarding recent episodes however the parents are unable to do anything other than leaving food at the front door as the lady would be agitated when she sees the parents.

these few night the episodes of screaming and throwing things happen very frequently and in the middle of the night. The parents mentioned that the Caretaker (Boyfriend) will be coming to the unit to try to talk / taking care.

the thing is, is there anything that condo management can do or maybe anyone here has any idea of how to deal with these sort of situation?

Currently without any injuries inflicted to neighbours or to herself, are the police able to do anything or there's an avenue to suggest condo management to take action before any serious injury comes up?

If anyone here has some experience or some advise but not comfortable posting in this thread, you can PM me and maybe we can bounce some ideas.

Hi all,

I'm sorry if this topic shouldn't be here but i'm desperate.

I have a Samsung Powerbot R7070.

I have just recently changed from UNIFI to TIME internet and currently using another router.

My powerbot could not connect to my new router/wifi and i looked through the manual said to use the remote control.

lo and behold, i could not locate the remote nor could i remember a remote that came with the robot vacuum.

Is there anyway that i can connect the robot with my current router?

I have tried My tie shop but their designs are not suitable for what I am looking for.

I'm looking for either floral or green ties with designs/patterns.

I will try online shopping sites for last resorts but hopefully to go to a physical shop so that I can see how it looks like and decide whether it is suitable.

Harvey Norman current year end sales

Hi all,

I have just made a visit to Harvey Norman(HN) and just for comparison sake, I went to Sen Heng to view the exact same items (hitachi 16kg washing machine and hitachi 510L fridge) and found that their prices doesn't differ much.

i used to think that HN would be much more expensive than others but it seems like i am wrong in this comparison between HN and SenHeng.

I have not been to AEON or other electrical shops but would like opinions from the board for more info:

1. Basically is HN worth it in terms of after sales services and their delivery people are well verse with condo?
2. is HN comparable with others (AEON/Courts/SenHeng/SenQ)
3. Does HN charge about market rate for water heater/air cond installations?

Please do share your stories / feedbacks.

VGA PCIE cables from PSU

Hi guys,

I have a R9 270 from sapphire and it needs to be connected with two 6 PIN PCIE connectors from power supply.

My question is that I have a Seasonic G series 650W. it is semi modular and has 1 single attached cable which labled PCIE which break off into two 6+2 pin PCIE connectors. whould like to know whether I should feed both of these into my gpu or i should leave out the extra 6+2 pin and connect the remaining 6 pins with another modular cable from the PSU.

Newbie here. I don't know whether the power supplied to that single PCIE cable will be enough to handle the load.

Hope to have some suggestions from you guys on dining in a restaurant with a view. (preferably KL view)

I have been searching for a good spot for the past few days and I haven't decided yet due to some restaurants' prices are way out of my budget.

I am planning to have dinner with my partner on New Years' Day 2015. Here is the list that I have sorted out:

1. Upperdeck at Tanzini, G Tower (5 course meal at a whopping RM350++)
2. Strato at Trioka at Troika (have not enquire)
3. Cafe Cafe (have not enquire)
4. Cantaloupe at Trioka (have not enquire)
5. La Risata at Ampang (have not enquire)

I planning on budgeting around RM150/person for this dinner hence its kinda hard to meet the budget of some restaurants. I hope to have suggestions from you guys. Please and thank you!!!

Hi guys,

I have recently received news that I might have to stay in kenya for a period of time (maybe 2weeks, worst 1 month) due to work.

I am in a dilemma coz eeventhough there's no case of ebola there and flights were banned from the neighbouring country that has ebola, Kenya is a flight hub whereby there's alot of flight transits and it is also a commercially buzzing hub.

I hoped to gain some insights of the options i have...not too sure whether this will be the right post in this sub thread but i hope to at least have some pros and cons responses.
