Looking for my old BF kaki's and new one too

Halo BFers, Scaygoo here. Its been long time i lurk here. Always hang around here after getting my BF kick long time ago. I'm a BF veteran since 1942 so so player but was there from the beginning. Played religiously BF 2, BF 2142 & Vietnam lost interest in BF 3 cause my pc was not up to par that time. Still haven't usik 4, BF 1 or 5. Now i got the urge to play BF again especially the older title cause of my fond memories & my BF Friends. Most of them dah move on already but any old timer BF players here? let hook up again welcome new players too. I got to know BF 1942 is available again to play online with the help of modders God Bless them. check out my game stream below if you don't believe me. off course no nearby SG server last time, but its playable on AUS/NZ server just need to find them. cherri ho!

HELP! on gaming slump,recommend me game

gosh i haven't play any games close to 3 months now, think i must be getting OLD (34 this years) nothing excites me anymore even the new StarCraft but i don't want to quit this hobby cause I've been gaming since apple2e, so LYN gamers please help me get rid of this rot.

to help you out i will list certain game features that i like.

Strategy/RPG- (ohh or any genre mix with Rpg) i can't get enough of this X-com, Jagged Alliances series..my fav games ever. is there any other games that have strategy with the dose of rpg in it/or vice versa?

Choose where to strike.... i love Total War Series cause if give 1 whole continent, or country (meduna) comes into mind that let me choose where/how to strike. I prefer this features more compare to the usual finish the level and proceed to next one in Strategy games. Any Recommendation?, I have player Starwars Empire at War its was ok.

Open ended- I hate corridor game, give me world!! i luv GTA (especially san andreas) does any similar games does it better?

turn based- i know..i know turn based is so 90' but i like it! this reflex of mine is not getting any better you know so is the any recent games which is turned based worth checking out?

Have ai units/squad mates/team member you really care for- X-com,Jagged Alliance or even Ghost Recon have plenty of this...(the pleasure of turning them from fresh meats to the Killing machine over time? watch in horror as your bad-ass Commander in X-com kena mind-control LOL.

So please recommend any games that might fit or close to this criteria, that easy to get like Steam/Gog etc is a bonus. Thanks people.

windows can't load (BSOD) I suspect RAM.

guys i need guidance before i do something stupid which i might regret later

ok here's the thing..windows can't load (BSOD) I suspect RAM. I got two stick of 1gb DDR2 Kingston 800mhz. I try swapping, put one stick at the time still have the bsod error. did a test run using Memtest86+ both comes out with error..bad news indeed but i'm baffle how can two stick of RAM can kaput at the same time?? is this happen to you before?

ok here's the the dumb question.. can i put a older DDR-400 stick at my mobo without damaging it?? i don't have any spare DDR2 to test. I just want confirmed is the RAM prob not (shudder) my mobo.

my current mainboard is xfx mg-630i-7109.
some info from the mobo manual.
2 x 240 pin DIMM slots support
Maximun memory capacity up to 4 GB
Support dd2 800mhz/677mhz/533mhz

Autodebit

Hi all,
got a inquiry bout autodebit. Can i instruct my bank (PB) to autodebit to my other bank accounts monthly? thru ASB a/c especially cause every time i have to go down to maybank branch counter to deposit..very inconvenience. Did quick search thru the bank website site, i can only see the the option to autodebit when paying bills. Whats the procedure, the processing fees involved? & what happen if the bank failed to autodebit the say amount when due date for example..not enough cash on my account? is the bank gonna blacklisted me or charged me a penalty fees? off course im not gonna let this happen but good to know in advance-kan. Trying to discipline myself to save Thanks alot, appreciate it.

Halo guys, i need guidance.
I was thinking of subscribing to Streamyx Combo 384kbps, a downgrade from my existing 1Mbps normal package Streamyx to save cost.

I rarely do p2p, but most IMPORTANT willl my online games will be affected? >(higher ping?), any noticeable delay when browsing? i like to open alot of pages at once/ also can Youtube stream smoothly without pause? hehe wishful thinking i know cause even my current 1Mbps pun struggling

Building good mid-range gaming pc

My last pc upgrade was 5 years ago, im talking pre-ddr,pcie & sata time so i m waay behind time here so please advise me ya.

My initial budget is bit tight, i can only set a side $800 for now, the rest will have to wait for few months time.. well its ok i'm not in a hurry, at least it will motivate me to get rid of this pc i'm using right now ..for once i like to play games without any frustration

I'm thinking for Round 1 i better start with a buying a new casing+mobo+cpu first. Round 2 will be system Ram and Hardisk and finally Round 3 will be Video card, dvd rom etc.. or you guys thinking different approach altogether?

maybe you can help me break down the initial budget like $200casing+$300mobo+$300 cpu for example? and which brand to get.

im AMD user for couple of years now, but if you guys wanna recommend Intel, i m all ears. I heard they cutting down their cpu prices now.
fyi i m not to comfortable in OC the cpu(for now). For casing you think i could save by buying no-brand case but do i still need to buy a good psu later? or just invest on a good name casing with good brand psu.. its like killing 2 bird with 1 stone. Thx for your help.

Partition hard disk on Windows XP

A friend bought a second Hard disk to add to the his existing one. Can he adjust the partition size within Windows without putting the Windows XP installation disk or using a third party program such as Partition Magic? I'm looking at Disk Management but i'm not seeing any options there. Thx in advance.

BF2142- It was fun defending the TITAN for the 1st time. Played briefly along side some of you guys last nite (verdun map i think). Man tat what crazy shit, feels like opening Starwars
I can't do much because of lag (my pc sux) still managed to nail 2 boogie down on the hallway though hehe. It cool playing in a squad got myself a promotion and my first badge. Thx guys!
