IP breach

Dear Forum Moderators,

I am writing to report regarding another user potentially accessing and disclosing my personal data.

A forum user has publicly stated that they are able to view my IP address.

I am not sure how LYN handles user backend data when comes to user personal data but I am deeply concerned about this as an invasion of privacy and a potential violation of Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA), which classifies IP addresses as personal data and requires data users to protect such data from unauthorized disclosure under its Security and Disclosure Principles."

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

QUOTE(MyProLife @ Jan 6 2026, 08:16 PM)

Not much difference as someone who got mental psychopath problem which control multiple dupes account from one device one IP address (eg viper 236 alex9892 are same too)

"TAIPEI, Aug 26 (News On Japan) - Taiwanese authorities have confirmed they sanctioned two Japanese men after the pair held up a Chinese flag and declared that “Taiwan is China” in a busy commercial district of Taipei on August 24.

According to Taiwan’s National Immigration Agency, the men entered Taiwan visa-free, recorded a video in a mix of Japanese and Chinese, and posted the footage to Chinese social media platforms.

The agency condemned the conduct as illegal and warned it could harm “Taiwan’s interests, public safety and order.” One of the men has been deported, while the other, who had already returned to Japan, has been barred from re-entering Taiwan."

https://newsonjapan.com/article/146674.php
USS New Orleans barbequed

"TOKYO: A fire on a US Navy ship off Japan was finally put out after 12 hours early Thursday (Aug 21), the US military said, after local vessels spent most of the night dousing the blaze.

Two US sailors were treated for minor injuries from the fire which broke out on the USS New Orleans in the southern island of Okinawa on Wednesday, the US 7th Fleet said in a statement.

"The cause of the fire is currently under investigation... New Orleans' crew will remain aboard the ship," the statement said.

The 208.4-metre (684-foot), 24,433-tonne amphibious transport dock ship is anchored off the White Beach Naval Facility.

Japan's Coast Guard said that initially the US military sought assistance from Japan, but then cancelled the request before then renewing it around 7:30pm (1030 GMT).

Four Japanese vessels -- from the Coast Guard, the navy and private contractors -- spent the night dousing the blaze, spokesman Tetsuhiro Azumahiga told AFP.

The United States has around 54,000 military personnel stationed in Japan, mostly on Okinawa. - AFP"

https://www.thestar.com.my/aseanplus/aseanp...hours-off-japan

Does AI actually boost Developer's productivity?

QUOTE

Forget vendor hype: Is AI actually boosting developer productivity, or just shifting bottlenecks? Stop guessing.

Our study at Stanford cuts through the noise, analyzing real-world productivity data from nearly 100,000 developers across hundreds of companies. We reveal the hard numbers: while the average productivity boost is significant (~20%), the reality is complex – some teams even see productivity decrease with AI adoption.

The crucial insights lie in why this variance occurs. Discover which company types, industries, and tech stacks achieve dramatic gains versus minimal impact (or worse). Leave with the objective, data-driven evidence needed to build a winning AI strategy tailored to your context, not just follow the trend.

QUOTE

The main thesis of the video is that while AI does increase developer productivity, it is not a one-size-fits-all solution. The speaker, Yegor Denisov-Blanch from Stanford, presents findings from a large-scale study on software engineering productivity to support this claim, arguing that the effectiveness of AI in software development is highly dependent on a variety of factors including task complexity, codebase maturity, language popularity, and codebase size.

My tldr summary after watching the video.

1. People overestimated the productivity of AI when comes to coding. If let's say AI get the work done 100% faster, 50% of the time is spent to debug AI code

2. AI prompted code often comes with more line of codes and people often misjudge more lines of codes equals to more productivity

3. The net productivity of complex task is low and sometimes decreases your productivity

4. More popular code = more accuracy and productivity. Less popular code = less accuracy and often times faster when you do it yourself

My prediction is that coders will eventually be on demand again in near future because most CEO doesn't realise how buggy is AI code and they need to pay someone to fix them

DPP used media to Harass Ex-Anti CCP KOL

Taiwan's political landscape is currently gripped by escalating tensions, fueling public debate over the true nature of its domestic governance versus external threats. Recent high-profile events involving a prominent online personality and a former presidential candidate have ignited accusations of political persecution, raising alarming questions about the integrity of the democratic process under the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).

Holger Chen, widely known as "馆长" (Kuan-chang), a controversial fitness mogul and outspoken critic of the DPP, has reportedly faced significant online harassment and media defamation. In this video, we can see him voicing his dissatisfaction against the media reporter by interrupting his contract signing moment with client. This alleged harassment, preceding potential engagement with the mainland, casts a shadow over freedom of expression and independent enterprise in Taiwan.

Further exacerbating public unease is the dramatic arrest and ongoing detention of Ko Wen-je, founder of the Taiwan People's Party (TPP) and former Taipei Mayor. On August 29, 2024, Ko was detained, and subsequently indicted on December 26, 2024, on charges of bribery, profiteering, and embezzlement of political donations related to a property development project during his mayoral term. Despite maintaining his innocence, Ko has vehemently accused the DPP government of employing judicial mechanisms to "suppress" political opponents and stifle dissent. His legal team and allies have lambasted the justice system and media for allegedly capitulating to President Lai Ching-te's administration. This high-stakes legal battle culminated in a significant protest in Taipei on September 8, 2024, as thousands rallied to denounce what they perceived as politically motivated persecution.

These events have ignited a fervent public discourse, prompting a notable shift in public perception. Recent surveys, such as those from National Chengchi University and the Taiwan Public Opinion Foundation (April 2025), reveal complex and evolving sentiments. While a strong sense of Taiwanese identity persists, public trust in the United States and the DPP's handling of cross-strait relations is being scrutinized. The narrative that the DPP, rather than the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), poses a more immediate threat to democratic values and individual freedoms within Taiwan is gaining traction among a segment of the populace. As accusations of political maneuvering intensify, Taiwan finds itself navigating a precarious path, with the future of its democratic integrity hanging in the balance.

Hence with all being said, the term "Green Communism" is gaining more popularity by the day in Taiwan.

US should ‘steal’ China’s best AI talent to keep pace, Senate hears

Talk of luring engineers follows mainland start-up DeepSeek’s emergence and ensuing shock waves felt by major American tech firms

The US should welcome China’s best scientific minds into its universities to compete with the mainland’s success in AI, American lawmakers in Washington heard on Thursday, as Chinese start-up DeepSeek unnerved the global tech market this week.

“Let’s steal their best engineers,” said Melanie Hart of the Washington-based Atlantic Council at a hearing convened by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Referencing the Chinese talent behind DeepSeek’s AI models, Hart testified that “we’d be better off if the engineers behind that were working here in the US”.

To achieve that, she continued, students from the mainland would need to feel safe in America, adding: “We can beat Beijing at making Chinese scientists feel safe.”

Hart’s comments came as Washington debates how best to retain top talent while safeguarding US intellectual property rights and national security.
They also coincide with a growing trend of US-based Chinese scientists returning to the mainland, driven in part by concerns of racial profiling under American national security policies and expanding opportunities in China’s tech sector.

The debate took centre stage at Thursday’s hearing, as US senator Jim Risch, an Idaho Republican and the committee’s chair, saw a key “flaw” in the proposal to lure tech talent from the mainland.

READ HERE
for the remaining article
China Uncensored complain jewtube pro-CCP

[twt]https://twitter.com/ChinaUncensored/status/1884364776622764382[/twt]

Content (excluding graph):

"Ok, here’s a crazy story I haven’t shared fully on X until now. But I’m sharing because I want to know if you’ve experienced anything similar. I’ve found evidence that YouTube’s algorithm is promoting pro-CCP content and suppressing anti-CCP content, and I’m looking for more."

"Back in November, China Uncensored suddenly lost well over half our views. Almost overnight, we were struggling to get even 60K views on videos that normally got 150K-300K. We couldn’t figure out what was going on."

"Was it something we did? Had we messed up somehow? Our YouTube rep told us we just didn’t have enough *engagement* on our videos. In the last 90 days, we lost almost 5 million views. We lost 77% of our YouTube revenue in December. Things were looking dire."

"Then, we heard from @serpentza and @laowhy86 , two other influential YouTubers who are critical of the CCP. They said that their channels also mysteriously and suddenly lost over half their views, also at the beginning of November. That didn’t sound like a coincidence."

"So we did a survey of more than 6,000 China Uncensored viewers. And it showed apparent suppression by YouTube’s algorithm. More than 1 in 4 viewers said YouTube had secretly unsubscribed them from China Uncensored."

"40% of our viewers said YouTube never or almost never recommended our videos."

"And, here’s the kicker, more than a third of viewers said YouTube is instead recommending they watch *pro-CCP* videos, including videos from state-run media."

"When I talked to @serpentzaand @laowhy86, they had also noticed that none of our videos showed up in YouTube searches for “china.” So we did some digging ourselves. Incognito/private browser YouTube searches for “china” showed 3 times more positive videos than negative videos in the first 100 results. Many of these were travel vloggers who sang the praises of China’s high speed trains, or traveling to Xinjiang."

"Meanwhile, anti-CCP content was buried. The first time we found a China Uncensored video in a search for “china,” it was video number 552."

"And then we found more evidence of a pro-CCP bias on YouTube. A December 2024 peer-reviewed study from the Network Contagion Research Institute @ncri_io found that YouTube showed more pro-CCP videos than anti-CCP videos in their search results, even though the anti-CCP videos had 2 to 3 times more engagement than the pro-CCP videos."

"So if YouTube was really just using engagement to recommend videos, then there should have been 2 to 3 times more anti-CCP videos than pro-CCP videos in the search results. But nope, they showed more pro-CCP videos instead."

"So we decided to do a little experiment. We launched Operation Honey Pot on China Uncensored, asking our viewers to like and comment on our videos with a 🍯honey pot emoji, so we could track engagement. Our engagement went way up. Our views did not."

"Meanwhile, YouTube noticed Operation Honey Pot and emailed us that they would have their “internal specialists” investigate what was happening to our channel. And guess what they found?"

"Nothing was wrong! Our sudden overnight crash in views was from “reduced audience interest in the videos.” Over 200K people all decided they weren’t interested in our videos at the same exact time. Silly me for questioning it." (HAHAHAHAHAHA)

"But despite YouTube’s helpful investigation, something still doesn’t smell right. What we’ve found so far strongly suggests YouTube is suppressing views of anti-CCP content, despite viewers indicating they want to see this content, while promoting pro-CCP content."

"So now I want to hear from you. If you have a YouTube channel that is critical of the CCP, have you noticed anything similar? If you watch anti-CCP YouTube content, do you see this content recommended for you? Do you get pro-CCP content recommendations instead? Let’s get to the bottom of this."
