Hybrid Learning

Is there actually anyone who loves online classes? Apparently, MMU is going for fully online after Pkp was announced recently. And before that, it was Hybrid Learning where students are given choice if they want to attend physical classes or online. Obviously I'm talking about non-lab course such as computer science.

Software Engineering

Hi fellas,
Just nowF I got an offered to further my study in Bachelor of Computer Science specialized in Software Engineering in UM. Ive done my research and went through the course structure there, I saw less programming subjects but more to maths. Is this okay?? My target is to work with Google Malaysia if I have the chance after my graduation. But, I never consider it as my permanent job. (more like a temporary job)

Im always amazed by games like Life is Strange and The last of us and ive always wanted to work with their company (Deck Nine, Naughty Dog, Square Enix) etc. Question is, to work with game company, do I have to take the general computer science, or my specialization in software engineering is better?

ps : My plan after graduation is work with google in malaysia, and then pursue my master overseas, after graduate overseas, i want to apply for the job in those game company i mentioned above.

MMU Courses

Hi, I finished my Foundation in Science course awhile ago. But I've made up my mind that Biology, Chemistry or Physics is just simply not my interest. I developed an interest in VFX in movies that I watched like Avengers etc. I feel like I really want to learn how to do those visual effects. I heard that MMU is the top university for these type of course. However I have few in my mind and I don't know which one to choose, because my interest does not only apply to VFX but also games, like how to make those type of Triple A company game like The Last of Us etc.

These are few in my mind right now but I don't really see or know the difference in depth :

1. Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Game Development
2. Bachelor of Multimedia (Hons.) Visual Effects

Or should I apply for the general Computer Science course just to be safe??

SPM retake

Hi,

I'm sorry for spamming about my education pathway but I'm just a clueless boy who wanted to pursue my passion and to fulfill my late dad's dream. My question is if I retake SPM July paper next year for only Biology subject, can I request for results to be released asap for me because its only one subject. Because I really need the subject to fulfill my entry requirement for MBBS degree. Another question, do you think I can apply for any public universities in same year (2021) in the course mentioned? Can I go to the university itself and beg them to consider me as special case..? Because I heard some of you said results will be out in 2022, and for me its too late then.. I don't know.. I've asked many public uni but they didn't reply at all nor answer my calls.. I'm clueless.. So clueless until one point where I almost gave up everything rn, but I still think of my late dad.. I don't want to easily quit. If theres really no other option, then I shall wait until 2022 then.. Just afraid my mom couldn't see me graduate by then..

Help with Education Pathway

Hi, some of you may know me and some of you maybe don't. I took SPM in 2018 taking subjects like Chemistry, Physics, Addmaths and 5 more basic subjects. (Note that I did not take Biology during SPM level). Then I pursue my study in Foundation in Science (subjects include Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths). During my foundation studies, I could say that I'm a little bit afraid because I did not have basic biology since the last time I studied Science in Form 3. But I'm surprised that I've scored well in all subjects. I'm having my final semester examination and will finish this month.

So recently I've been really looking forward with MBBS course, Pharmacy or Dentistry. However, my requirement is not sufficient enough just because I did not take Biology during SPM.

I did thought about registering SPM Biology next year however it is too long to wait and I might only be able to apply for degree courses in 2022! That's crazy. (Note that I'm planning to apply through UPUOnline and it opens somewhere around February - March). Then I read somewhere about IGCSE. I heard that this year still have registration open for private candidate?

My question is :
1. Will I be able to register IGCSE ONLY BIOLOGY subject, and will it make my entry requirement to degree course such as MBBS sufficient enough? Having IGCSE Biology, but SPM in other sciences subject?

2. If can, is there any preparation that I can do before the exam this year, since the paper might be a lot different than what I've studied during foundation? Will I be able to cope with the papers itself?

3. When is the next IGCSE exam I can take as private candidate and when will the results be released? Can it be BEFORE UPUOnline opens, so I can apply for government universities for critical degree courses?

Note that the fees to register IGCSE subject is not a problem for me. Thank you.

Hi,
so I conducted a study on university students regarding the relationship between the effectiveness of E-learning and the students' examination results. I had to use the SPSS to determine the mean and standard deviation. The results are as below, and there are 200 respondents. I need help on what does this result means?? Like how do I have to describe it, is the relationship positive or negative..

Help me

Hi,

I'm currently in my last semester in Foundation in Science in a private university, taking subjects like Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. However, in my SPM I didn't register Biology as one of my subject. I do have Chemistry, Physics and Addmaths. When I pursue my foundation studies, I was quite scared for Biology subject as I have no basic of Biology since Form 3. However, I did well in my last 2 semesters including my biology subject (got 3.00+) my current cgpa now is 3.6. Trying to boost it up for my last sem soon. I have been looking for undergraduate programmes in public universities. I'm really interested in either mbbs/pharmacy/dentistry, those critical courses. However, the requirement to pursue these courses you need to have at least B/A in Biology, Physics, Chemistry in SPM level. This is where I'm facing difficulties. My question is, how do I retake only biology in spm for me to soon pursue my undergraduate programme? I'm planning to pursue it next year, so I have plenty of time to study for the subject this year. And also when is the retake paper will be held? Is it too late? Can it be earlier than July or do you have to pay more in order to do earlier? Idc how much it costs, I just want to finish retaking biology spm asap so I can apply for my desired programme through UPU. And yes i am bumiputera

Retake SPM

Hi, My name is Aiman. Currently a foundation in science student finishing in August soon. The intake for degree would be in October this year too. I'm planning to pursue Biomedical science in the same uni, however I've received many negative opinions on this course. And recently, I've looked up MBBS course and developed an interest for this course. However there is one problem, I did not have Biology for SPM, therefore I cannot register for the course. My current foundation course have subjects like Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. And I know it still wouldn't be enough because of the guidelines by Ministry of Health. My question is, is it wise for me to register for SPM Biology subject ? If so, how? I've done my research and it really confused me. When is the exam, and can it be held in my house rather than going to school? And can the result be out asap as I need my grade to register for my degree course soon? To be honest, I'm quite afraid if the SPM Biology syllabus would be slightly different than my foundation course. Because there is 3 papers. I also don't have guide on how to do the paper 3 Biology cause it will be a whole different thing for me (I've looked paper 3 online, and it is different that chemistry and physics paper 3 I took at school before).

So summarising my question:

1. Is it wise to retake ONLY spm biology subject?
2. How do I only register for the subject?
3. When is the exam later this year, and can it be held in my house, I don't want to go to school to do it.
4. Can the results be out asap so I can register for my degree course?

ps: I've always wanted to be a doctor, but knowing the requirement said that I need to have SPM Biology really made myself disappointed because of how dumb I am for not taking the pure science class in school (I took engineering science with all sciences subjects except biology).

So i was wondering if I can apply through UPU even though I haven't finish my foundation studies.
Hi guys,

I'm currently a foundation in science student who are taking Biology, physics and chemistry subject on my foundation level. I took SPM before and registered both Physics and Chemistry as my subjects without Biology.

It stated that we need to have Biology in SPM in order to pursue MBBS, so I want to ask whether I can pursue MBBS first, and then take back Biology for SPM. Or do I need to take Biology for SPM first, then only I can pursue MBBS?

Ps: On my foundation level, I can cope with Biology subject even though I don't have the basics from SPM.
