Internet speed for accessing remote PC overseas

Hello genius forumers, i'm new & noob here..

Wanna ask, what is the suitable internet speed for accessing a remote PC or data center located overseas? To do programming etc. using that remote PC (not me, but my family member).

I'm looking to subscribe a broadband at home, for the above purpose and also for browsing videos etc. For usual home users who browse/stream videos, seems like 100mbps is more than enough (?).

But what about accessing remote PC overseas? Somebody said the important part is latency.. but how do we know how much the latency will be? Does the ISP know?

Thought of subscribing Unifi 100mbps with unifi TV if they can install in our place.. Thought of TIME also (if can install), but somebody said that TIME uses Tier 2 (national) and Tier 3 (local?) network, while Unifi uses Tier 1 (international), Tier 2, and Tier 3 network.. so I thought maybe Unifi is better if wanna access remote overseas...(?)

Anyway, what is the suitable internet speed ya? Is 100Mbps suitable enough?

Any opinion is very much appreciated. Thanks
