How to improve my Bahasa Indonesia

Ok. So I was being offered an interview opportunity for a role in Indonesia. They want me to speak Bahasa Indonesia to deal with Indonesian customers. Possible to rely on my Malay ka? So many different vocabs like kantor vs pejabat.. even when the words are the same, they often carry different meaning. Like percuma means free in Malay but it means useless in Indonesian.

how ah? should I just turn down this opportunity? you think speak english with Indonesians can?

Politicians meant to be outspoken and aggresive. DAP keep having interviews, social media posts in Chinese.. it seems that they can only do things for the Chinese. It's really bad for publicity and just give other people the impression that it's chinese to the core.

For starterds, stop posting everything Cina and reject the language like their brethren, PAP, which is 100x more successful.

Should I pay kindergarten fees for May?

So, my mum is taking of my 3-yo niece and I pay for the fees. She asked me don't pay for next month's fees (~RM700) as she doesn't intend to send her to school cos she is wary of covid. I kinda feel bad because the teachers also need to live ma right? I can afford RM700 but if I pay, my mum will kutuk me for wasting money.

So Dec last year I asked fellow forumers on where to get hydrogen peroxide for teeth whitening but guys were really helpful in suggesting alternatives but couldn't really get the whitening gel I want

Ok, here are the results. Been using it for 1 month ... perhaps applied it 15 times? cos I don't use it everyday. I usually just squeeze the gel onto my retainer and wear it to bed. Already achieved the results that I'm happy with... but still have 7.5 syringes left! Very satisfied. All in all, I only spend about US$8 compared to chairside bleaching at the dentists which usually is above RM1K.

You can see the difference between the front teeth where I apply the gel on and the yellowish teeth at the back which receive little or no gel at all.

I'm planning to whiten my teeth using 22% Carbamide Peroxide or 6% hydrogen peroxide gel since I already have my retainers so I think doing it myself should be easy.

But I couldn't find it locally. E-commerce platforms like Aliexpress and shopee do have it but they have long shipping time because it's from China. In fact, I ordered one and I haven't receive it yet (already past 1 month).. I suspect they may have lost it.

It’s kinda unusual. I would see them from time to time but usually just one or two. But tonight I spotted at least 5 of them in different sizes. Don’t bite but I’m worried if there is anything wrong with my house? Could it be a sign like termite infestation or something?

Proton cars in the Middle East

I was looking at some old photos in my phone while reminiscing about my backpacking trip in the Middle East in 2016. Saw many proton cars and took some photos.

I used to drive a Proton Satria so whenever I saw the same car. I get excited. Proton used to export cars to the Middle East but I don’t think it will still happen again with the Geely partnership. They can sell direct to those countries so no need to go through proton. Moreover, no need to do left-right hand drive conversion. Already saw many Chinese cars in Egypt, especially the Emgrand brand - which I believe is part of Geely.

Felt proud to be a MALAY-sian in the region because not only our products were popular, our country was also highly respected. Mention Malaysia, they will tell you they recognize the most famous man there as a hero and that man is Mohammad (Mahathir).

My mum intend to bring her granddaughter (US citizen) back to Malaysia to jaga. I know a visa is not required for short term stay (<90 days). But if we want her to stay for.. say 6 months. Do you know what pass / visa is required?
