Three Chinese Ships Assist In The Evacuation Of KRI Nanggala

JAKARTA - The Chinese naval army, the People Liberation Army Navy, will deploy a ship to help Indonesia evacuate the KRI Nanggala-402 submarine.

Head of the Naval Information Service (Kadispenal) Laksma TNI Julius Widjojono explained that this assistance originated from the offer of assistance from the Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia to Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto regarding the handling of KRI Nanggala-402.

Prabowo Subianto welcomed the offer. Then, China will deploy three salvage ships to help lift the KRI Nangala-402 ship which is on the seabed.

"The ships seconded to Indonesia are Ocean Salvage and Rescue Yongxingdao-863, Ocean Tug Nantuo-185 and Scientific Salvage Tan Suo 2," said Julius in his statement, Saturday, May 1.

Julius said that the three ships were expected to arrive in Bali waters on April 30 or early May 2021.

The specifications, Ocean Salvage and Rescue Yongxingdao-863 have a length of 156 meters, a width of 21 meters and a height of 7.5 meters. This ship has robots, sonar, side scane and boat rescue.

Meanwhile, Ocean Tug Nantuo-185 is 119 meters long, 16 meters wide and 6.5 meters high, while Scientific Salvage Tan Suo 2 is 87.2 meters long, 18 meters wide and 7 meters high.

"The three salvage ships have the ability to dive up to a depth of 4500 meters," he said.

Gunfire heard at Indonesian national police HQ in Jakarta

Indonesian media reports that one person was shot dead in an exchange of gunfire during an ‘alleged terror attack’.

A woman entered the Indonesian National Police Headquarters in Jakarta and pointed a gun at several officers before being shot dead by police, in the latest in a series of attacks in the world’s most populous Muslim nation.

Authorities had earlier imposed a counterterrorism crackdown and were on heightened alert for possible attacks against police and places of worship following a suicide bombing at a Roman Catholic cathedral during Palm Sunday Mass on Sulawesi island which wounded at least 20 people.

Television video on Wednesday showed an unidentified woman wearing a long black robe and a blue veil walking near a parking lot at the police headquarters toward the police chief’s office building. She pointed a gun at several police officers before being shot dead by other officers.

The body lay motionless afterwards, with the reports calling it an “alleged terror attack”.

Bandai Spirits and Sunrise have revealed a new Gundam live-action drama titled Gundam Build Real. This title comes as part of the Gunpla Link Project held to mark the 40th anniversary of Gundam plastic models in 2020. [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]

Gundam Build Real will tell the story of Team Bright, a group of boys that have enjoyed Gunpla Battles since grade school and reunited in their first year of high school. The group consists of the pilot Hiro, the builder Takumi, the programmer Kentaro, and the communicator Taichi.

In the past, the team used an RG Gunpla, RX-78-2 Gundam, that they nicknamed Nanahachi (Seven-Eight). The unit also used enhanced Armageddon bazooka that has twice as many stats as a regular Hyper Bazooka. Souta, the fifth member, built the weapon.

In this title, teams initiate Gunpla Battles by scanning the Gunpla’s and having specialized drones show their life-sized projections. Hiro and any other team-assigned pilots will then control the projections by wearing first-person view goggles.
