I went to the Tissot dealer in Sunway Pyramid and they charged me rm195 for a new battery.

Does anyone know if that is the fair/going price? Or have I just been ketuk'd?

Gigabit Switch - Fast Ethernet Router

I have all my home devices/access points connected to a Gigabit Switch.

WAN comes via the router which has Fast Ethernet ports only.

Given that the router assigns/manages the DHCP function, can I confirm that within the LAN via the switch, devices will all still communicate at Gigabit rates (best case etc)?

Or, does the fact that DHCP is played by the router (Fast Ethernet to the Switch) affect throughput?

If the devices on the Switch have static i.p. addresses - does this also make a difference?

Aztech Homeplug does not 'resume from sleep'

I just started using the Aztech HL115EP - loving it!

However, I found that with my iMac, after shutting down, the Homeplug 'works as advertised', and goes into sleep mode - the problem is, when I start my iMac again, the Homeplug does not come out of sleep.

So, there is no active ethernet - and so far, I can only make it work by switching the Homeplug off-on.

Am I missing something here? Surely this is not how it should operate and it should be more of a 'wake up on LAN activity' sort of thing?

Setup of any router for UniFi HyppTV

Technically, what is taking place with the port that is dedicated for the HyppTV unit with UniFi?

Presumably this is something that can be setup for any brand of router so long as there is enough setup access/options to do so?

I bought a few items from them and while their sales team were very helpful via phone and email, I am still waiting for my items and mysteriously unable to get through to them now.

If others can vouch for them then I'll just put this down as a minor glitch.

DDNS Query - multiple devices

I'm new to configuring a home network and using DDNS.

My understanding is the DDNS would provide a reference/link to my IP address as provided by the ISP.

If I have one DDNS hostname, can it be used for multiple devices on my network?

eg. I have a NAS, and several IP cameras on my network.

Can I enter the one DDNS hostname in the configuration of all those devices, or do I need a unique DDNS hostname for each one?

Increasing Byond PVR Disk Capacity

What options are there to upgrade/increase the capacity of the Astro Byond PVR drive?

Does it use a 2.5" or 3.5" disk?

If it's user serviceable (of course voiding warranty), could go to 1TB (2.5") or 3TB or even 4TB (3.5") if the OS accepts it.

Anyone tried?

Is it true that with the PVR, you cannot connect an external USB drive either?
