Bandwidth vs Price

I am trying to conduct a poll to ascertain whether the current internet population has a limit on demand to bandwidth. This is inline with the High Speed Broadband Project that was launched recently and also Singapore's plan to deliver 100 Mbps to their household.

Is there really a rationale to deliver up to 100 Mbps for the general population or would lower fee for moderate bandwidth, i.e. 5 Mbps is the better way forward.

Thanks in advance.

Broadband bandwidth

Hi all, firstly i am not sure if this is already discussed but i was wandering if anyone can tell what is the ratio of sharing practised by the ISP, e.g. TMNet put up a backbone of 5 Mbps to one area (Bandar Tun Razak's Taman Jaya). How do they then consider when to upgrade that backbone when subscriber base increased?

Perhaps these answer can allow us to better choose the ISP depending on their sharing ratio?

Thanks in advance

Hi all, just wanted to know if the offer in Starbuck where if you bring their beans to any outlet they will brew it for you for free is still available?

Their beans cost around RM 35-40, so if i can buy just one packet and go to Starbuck everytime then better than installing Streamyx at home rite, environment is much better at Starbuck.

Any idea?

I had a bad experience in the sakae sushi outlet in KLCC. Placed order before kitchen closed and waited for 1 hour before being informed that our order cannot be served because the kitchen has closed.

What the heck, since when Japanese restaurant has such a bad reputation for customer service.

VOIP vs Landline

I was trying to differentiate between the technology behind conventional landline and the VOIP. Basically, most of the telephone network today are running on IP circuits, i.e. both landline and VOIP.

Anyone can share information behind the technology behind both, how are they different?

Why is the quality and price for both different?

Thanks.
