Is video-r/camera a totally redundant gadget now?

10-20 years ago, we can still see many people own a camera or video recorder when going out for vacation. During that time, the photo quality taken by camera or DSLR was far more superior than a regular potato cam by smartphone. Any new model also got advertisment or hand out brochure.

I still remember many of my friends wanted mirrorless camera. Some want to act professional bought full frame with many expensive lenses.

Nowadays, we barely see any cam around. I've never seen people going out for vacation using one except wedding event.

Our smartphone are excellent in taking photos and with the post editing using capcut, canvas, in shot, lightroom, no one can differentiate between photo taken by smartphone or 20k DSLR.

What makes windows XP the greatest OS of all time?

Remember windows xp? When we were in kindergarten or primary school, everyone of us sure had experience using windows xp. The OS was so popular that it is the version with longest support from windows, from 2001 until 2014.

Even the next gen Windows Vista cannot replace XP until the next next gen windows 7 able to replace. During that period, we only know XP, and macos or fedora or Linux doesn't come into discussion at all.

What makes XP the GOAT? What makes the next few gen of windows lifespan so short and keep on updating?

Is it common among property agents?

Last Saturday, i went to view property. A 3 bedroom condo. I consider to buy and rent out to earn some passive income.

Is it only me, or sometimes i think property agent wear a bit revealing? met this female lady agent in her mid 20s. was with her for viewing on 2 different days. first time, she wore short skirt and denim shirt with button.

last sat wear short pants with sleeveless shirt but with jacket. i cannot concentrate when she was explaining the unit. really tough time. i was trying really hard to consider the unit and thinking straight.

worse, she sometimes voice message me at night, asking me how's my consideration or want to view more units and my budget can raise. her voice really sweet and cute.

to those of u who deal with property agent, are all of them like this? really so 'professional'? how do u guys even discuss seriously?

Why many East Asia nations dislike JP but not TW

Before ww2, Japan once colonized part of China Manchuria, Taiwan, North Korea, South Korea, Hong Kong and many parts of south east Asia.

During ww2, Japan killed so many local innocents. If u look at the political stance and the citizens reactions, many of these countries dislike Japan.

North Korea hates Japan, needless to say about China and South Korea whose hatred so deep. Even hk u will see tvb or movie portrayal of imperial Japan cruelty and ruthlessness like ip man or Hong Kong 1941.

There's one exception, Taiwan. Taiwan always admire and glorify Japan even though it's Japan colony. Media also reported that Taiwan more willing to accept Japan as master more than mainland china. Most Taiwanese also aspire to study in Japan aside from USA.

Taiwanese also accept a lot of Japanese culture and blend in their daily lives like tempura, oden, way of addressing seniors.

Why is this the case? Discuss.

Why are we so far behind South Korea?

If u look into the history of GDP nominal per capita, Malaysia was actually ahead of South Korea even until 1981. It wasn't till then we were left far far behind.

How did south Korea able to propel to such economic height in just 30-40 years?

Remember how much damage Korean war did to Korea? Remember the 1997 economy crisis where South Korea had to beg imf for loan? Remember how much behind Korea was behind Japan and Taiwan and now Korea outperform Japan?

What had Korea reform to have such success? We have bigger land, more resources and do not have crazy neighbors like north Korea. Why still lose Korea?

Those who play pc games will know, it's always the selection of GPU between these two brands Nvidia and AMD.

These two brands have been there for over 20-30 years. No other countries can produce GPU that can fight these two.

Even apple with their M1, M2, M3 cannot fight, intel igpu isn't as great. What more to say other countries.

What is the reason behind the dominance of these two brands especially Nvidia? Nvidia mart cap is bigger than Germany or Japan economy.

Bullying has always been a very serious issue since last 50-60 years. During our school times also, we face such issues.

To those K who are parents or going to be parents in future, how will u protect or advise your kids to do in order to avoid being bullied in school?

Kids are getting more evil nowadays. We can't really stop but at least we can teach our kids to avoid or reduce the chances of getting bullied.

Why are Korean so good at doing plot twists?

Those who enjoy detective or whodunnit film would definitely agree, when it comes to this kind of genre, Korean are at the top.

Memorier of murder, mother, montage, decision to leave, signal, tunnel, stranger are among few movies and series recommendations.

No other country can make such great plot and twist as good as Korean.

Why are Koreans so good at making all these films? Is it their in depth research in scriptwriting or their camera work?

How do u deal with old CDs or dvds that u bought?

Remember 10-20 years ago, where we always bought the CDs, vcds, dvds, blurays.

Everyone of us sure have the cd racks at our home. Now no one is using, all server based media. Or digitally stored in our HDD.

How do u guys manage these hundred stacks of CDs?

Do u throw them? Store for memories? Or u give away to charity?

Why is it women now are more choosy than 90s?

If u see during our parents era, like 80s 90s or early 2000s, most of the ladies even cities amoi were not that materialistic. They valued money but not as 'money-crazy' as what we seen now.

Nowadays we always heard local amoi or awek want to have Hermes Prada Gucci, iPhone 17 pro max, high class condo, Merc or Bmw. Compare to now, last time amoi were ok with basic necessities like semi D, proton, Toyota, semi tier handbags or necklace. That's all.

More self entitled, not willing to take part in household chores, piap piap outside with other guys and sukak sukak divorce aren't something common in the past.

Is it the internet age ruined the mindset or maybe I wrong, 80s 90s 2000s amoi also same, maybe no reports from socmed that's why we see less.
