However, I have lost the receipt (bought from Viewnet Lowyat) but I have verified and called the dell warranty at 1800 88 0022, press 2, press 2, and asked to check for warranty and use this serial number CN-0M3JRH-74445-51D-BP2U to verify. Still have 2 years 7 month warranty. They will come pick up/change on the spot at your house if there is any problems.

Item(s) conditions: New unit from Huawei and not used ever since, since the previous one got issue with signal, Huawei issued a new one. I tested the new one and have no issue whatsoever. You might need to change new screen protector since at the top there is some install problem (might be when they reapplied it on the new unit), you can see it in the picture.

Greetings,

Going back through the time, LYN is one of my first tech website I've ever participated in, and it still holds true until now. It's an awesome community, and one that make me feel at home (since it's local).

My method of browsing always have been with a PC, but you know with everyone owning a smartphones nowadays, one hopes to browse in their smartphone too. In fact we can already do that now, when I open from my hp, it loads up the mobile version. Still good, but with my experience, it doesn't translate well in small screen layout.

From few years back, I have been imagining the possibility of extending the browsing experience by means of other method (such as a dedicated software, feed displays, app, etc) but I think it's limited by having to fetch the whole website and parsing the content manually. I don't know if we already had this, but I think it's time for LYN to provide some basic API calls for a more personal experience (or for developers to waste some time for ).

By having an API, we developers can code up some apps/software that skips the browser altogether and instead use a customized app instead. Fast, easy and more personalized solution can be deliver to the end user.

Stumbled upon this today IPBWI that provides API methods for IP.board software. The only problem is it needs the owner of the site to implement it (as usual with any other API, but going through the docs it just involves in dropping the folder and set the paths), and if LYN somehow can implement that here, I think we are going to open up some really interesting possibilities that can be created via apps/software, that can enhance the overall LYN experiences. For one thing, it's going to be blazingly fast getting just the json data of any topic. Some bonus point, provide an api for trending topics and I assure you that it's going to be the most called api ever

As always, having an API is not just a simple task. It involves security and a delicate process perfecting the api calls and result returned (formats and so on). I don't think it can be implemented in very near future, but my point of bringing up the topic today is to at least get some feedback and get the balls rolling.

If it is not good, then let's killed it off, but if it is a good one, let's at least start with something. Thank you for reading
