Running wired internet into a bedroom

Right now my modem and router are placed one floor below me with my desktop PC in my bedroom on the floor above and so I am using WiFi to connect to the internet. But I really want to start using wired connections to get the best speeds that I can for gaming/streaming/downloading etc. Is it possible to make an Ethernet outlet in my room which I can use to connect to the router and if so is it expensive?. There is an outlet to connect a landline in my room so I’m guessing it can be placed there if it’s possible. Thanks for your help

Bad Internet Speeds During Online Gaming

Does anyone have any issues while online gaming when it comes to Unifi? For some reason my internet goes crazy bad when I play any kind of online game, anything from major FPS's and even Gwent! Ping goes up to 3K sometimes and it is making it impossible for me to play anything. My internet seems fine otherwise and works normally during internet browsing and only acts up during online gaming. Not sure if there is any fix for this. Suggestions?

I'm using the Unifi provided D-Link DIR 850L router and am willing to buy a different router if that works. If it is important I am also using a custom PC with a wifi PCIE card. Not really possible for me to use wired connection because my PC is all the way on the second floor and my router is on the ground floor.
