Warning to all hobbyist on Facebook Scammer

Hi all,

This is a throwaway account. I want to alert everyone of a scammer called Hobby Maker Enterprise (Hobby Maker) on Facebook. Please bear with me as this will be quite lengthy. Recently I was looking to buy the Pokemon Forest Series 1 collection by RE-MENT. Searched online and came across Hobby Maker’s post selling it. He was selling it so I WhatsApp him about it. After confirming the price and his bank-in details, I proceeded with the purchase.

I bought it based on the pictures posted in his Facebook post and those in the post are all original products, so it did not occur to me that I could be buying some low quality China knock off. When I actually received the product, I received the knock off instead of the original product. Before anyone says things like “Product images are for illustrative purposes only and may differ from the actual product.”, please take a look at the comparative pictures later.

I contacted the seller, Edward (Won't be posting his full name unless it is allowed by mods or admins for verification or public awareness), showed all the defects on the product and comparison with original but he did not want to reply. Never mind that, next day, I contacted him again when he is online, to ask for a refund, and again he did not want to reply. I went on saying I will take the necessary actions to report him and he still did not want to reply, showing how dishonest he is.

Now let me share what has happened and show the pictures of what I received against what the original as per his pictures should have looked like. If need to, I will share the WhatsApp conversation to show that I have contacted him about it.

Would appreciate if anyone here can let me know which authority I can report to besides the police and the Tribunal for Consumer Claims, or if there is anything else I can do.
