My company using 3com 4500. Got 1 customer using vlan facing intermittent connection. After googling around and checking, cable go no issue, both interface customer and port set to full duplex and 100M speed. But in the switch got a lot input error and CRC.

Input(total): 1107901 packets, 171677622 bytes
38 broadcasts, 0 multicasts, 0 pauses
Input(normal): - packets, - bytes
- broadcasts, - multicasts, - pauses
Input: 38834 input errors, 0 runts, 0 giants, - throttles, 15878 CRC
3559 frame, - overruns, 19397 aborts, 0 ignored, - parity errors
Output(total): 1385565 packets, 1303281622 bytes
97 broadcasts, 3070 multicasts, 0 pauses
Output(normal): - packets, - bytes
- broadcasts, - multicasts, - pauses
Output: 0 output errors, - underruns, - buffer failures
0 aborts, 0 deferred, 0 collisions, 0 late collisions
0 lost carrier, - no carrier

Then every few minutes got below message pop-up in terminal:

PTVL/5/WARNING:- 1 -The link partner of Ethernet1/0/6 may be bad,sending lots of error packets !

Does anyone know what is the problem anything else i can check?

my company had symantec backup exec 10d. This fist time i use symantec, just working for a month only. before this i can see media. But yesterday backup missed, i check media, but i cannot see media . It something like not connecting. I check the cable ok . Change tape already, but still cannot see media. anyone had any idea what is goin on?

i help my friend to format computer, he want to install windows 98. After install, the icon is big, i cannot adjust the screen resolution higher . Even he want to do work, all is big and cannot view the rest of document. I already installed monitor driver.
