Hi guys, got an offer from a SG-based VC firm (recently launched a USD$100 mil fund). They are expanding their investment in Cambodia hence would want to relocate me to Phnom penh (capital of Cambodia) for 6-12 months.

Job scope: Still waiting for them to iron out the details. In general, they need someone with banking background to be there to help them connect with the local banks as they are investing fintech.

The package that they offer:
Monthly salary of RM 7500, free accomodation and 1 free flight ticket home every month.

Anyone working in the VC or PE industry now? any idea if this is a good deal?

Also, how much is the top VC firm paying for their associates in KL?

Hi gurus, my friend and I recently had a discussion on why businesses would want to borrow money from the bank with such hefty interest rates. Obviously we couldnt convince ourselves that getting a loan is good. What do you think? For example, why would a "mixed rice" store want to borrow money from the bank?
