Ipad Mini 4 Blackout Screen

Hi all,

I owned an Ipad Mini 4 which has been with me for 3 years.
Recently, the screen having problem. Initially, the screen would flick.
After a week later, the top and bottom of screen got multiple line apprears.
Lastly, the whole screen blackout but i notice there is still some backlight.

Wondering what is the issue? is it to replace the screen? or other hardware failure?

Retrenchment/Lay-off Benefit

Hello fellow Kopitiam members,

I would like to seek some advice regarding as employee being retrench/lay-off.

In Aug 2008, was employed under the holding company (listed company) as executive in internal audit department and has been working with this position till Feb 2020 (11 years 6 months) as company decided to outsource the internal audit department.

Starting March 2020, was offered a position as operation executive under a subsidiary company of the holding company. But in end of May 2020, the subsidiary company decided to perform retrenchment/lay-off due to bad economic & COVID-19.

Received the retrenchment letter where stated company will
1) salary till 30th June 2020
2) any balance or earned leave as 30th June 2020
3) One (1) month gratuity payable by end of June 2020

Seeing the duration working in the company for so long, the company only compensate me these much. Is it appropriate?

Do i need to seek out the help from the Labour Department?
