My house's circuit break box has been repaired & modified, and the original cover no longer fit the switches.

It looks dangerous with wires exposed, so I would like to know what's the typical way to fix this? is there any casing I can buy online to cover it, or need to hire an electrician and install new cover/box for me?

I have a Creative Labs Inspire 5.1 5200 speakers connected to Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live! 24 bit USB External receiver.
Recently, the USB receiver seems unstable with frequent disconnect/hang, and I am considering connecting the speakers to bluetooth receiver so I can play music wireless from iPhone/Macbook.

Below are the input jacks for the speakers, it takes in 3 "headphone jacks" of Front, Rear, and Center subwoofer.

I love the quality of these speakers and would like to continue using them. Can someone recommend what's the right bluetooth receiver/interface that can wireless connect iPhone/MacBook to these speakers?

[WTA] Subwoofer connector question

I try to connect Bose's 6.1 speakers to Sony 5.2 receiver.

All connections seems match except the subwoofer, where the Bose subwoofer connector is a blue round connector, while Sony receiver has 2-wire connectors, any suggestion what adapter I can buy to connect the subwoofer?

Below are my connectors:
Bose : Sony
Left : Left
Right : Right
Left Surround : Left Surround
Right Surround : Right Surround
Center : Center
Center Surround : Center
Subwoofer : ??

My LG refrigerator is giving noise from time to time, I traced it to a small fan blowing at the radiator, if I touch the fan handle, the noise will stop. After few minutes, the fan will come back.

Can anyone suggest how to get this repaired? is it possible to DIY the repair myself?

[WTA] How to block sewerage backflow problem

I live in the bottom floor of an apartment, and every weekend when many people use the toilet, the waste water from main pipe might overflow to my unit, and the waste water will flow into my toilet and sometimes so much until it overflow to living room. (it's all brown color shit water).

My apartment management didn't want to handle this, I wonder whether I can hire my own plumber to install some kind of backflow preventer (something like this: https://www.squareoneinsurance.com/backwater-valve) to block it in my own unit? if yes, what kind of plumber I should hire and what is the name of solution (backwater valve?)

Someone recommended me to put a heavy bucket of water at the drain hole, is that going to work?
Others suggest me to pour lots of acid to unblock the main pipe below, is this effective because many people will be using the main pipe and it's never dry, so acid will be flushed away easily?

My friend is a software test lead that worked for company over 5 years now, recently her boss told her she’s not meeting performance target due to no skill in test automation, and need to go through Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) to improve test automation skills which is part of her job scope.

However, she not confident can learn this skill, but she wants to continue to work in same company but under different manager, but management says there’s no other suitable position besides her position. Can she “resign from test lead position” but choose to remain in company until her company finds her another suitable position?
