need help with com crash due to windows update

hey guys,
my comp was updating the usual update and i had something else to do, so i shut down my com...however, the next time i restarted my com, the following error msg popped up :

services.exe - bad image
the application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\umpnpmgr.dll is not a valid windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.

then if u press ok, then nothing happens and the screen remains blank. How come?

Hi, may i know what's the price of a pair of etymotic er-6i in Malaysia?
I am asking my friend's help to get me one from the US.
It's USD 69. is it worth the money?
