First of all, this is not a troll thread.

I know this is probably not a good place but I have to try expand my reach.

To cut it short, I'm looking for a potential female partner/gf.

I do not prefer to disclose my exact personal details here but I will share some info about me.

Apologies if I cannot be too specific about myself in here because some people love to doxx people info online (I would like to avoid that).

About myself:
- Age: Somewhere between 28-32
- Height: 5'7-5'8 tall
- Race: Indian
- Religion: Atheist/Agnostic (not so important to me)
- Build: Average
- Exercise: 3 times a week
- Job: Work in IT for a corporate company
- Hobbies: Anime/Manga, Games, Traveling, Food hunting
- Others: No car and no house
- Last relationship: 2022 (lasted 2-3 years)
- Location: KL

About you:
- Age: Somewhere between 20-28
- Height: 5'6 or below
- Race: Indian/Chinese/Etc (as long not Malay)
- Religion: Any (as long not Muslim)
- Build: Average (please dont be heavier)
- Exercise: Any
- Job: Any
- Hobbies: Any
- Location: KL
- Others: Dont mind myself having no car or house

Personal disclaimer:

You may know me from my old thread about rm500 budget for dating.
Honestly all I want is someone to hangout and eventually fall in love with (I know it sounds cliche).

I'm not capable enough compared to other dudes in my age group and I have social issues that needs time to improve.
I dont have money or a car or a house but I want to work on that slowly.

If I continue to wait till I get better financially eventually then I will be old and inexperienced before I even get the chance.
So I dont want to have the regret of not even trying. Hence I am here making this post.

They say a woman makes a man better.
Help me age like a fine wine?
Entering corporate company in mid 30s

Hi everyone, I am planning to continue my studies to get degree/masters (MBA) until 33-36yrs old.
Sometime along this period, I am thinking of pivoting from my current IT profession into Product management role.
I do not have a valid IT study background which is why I prefer to pivot to make it easier for climbing the corporate ladder.

I've never worked for corporate/formal company before so I want to know some feedback from people here.
Do they accept mid 30s people who never worked in corporate before and what is the salary range they can provide for people like my case?

Specifically looking at Banking industry, and I have 8 years of work experience in non-banking industry.
By then in my current job I would be earning rm10k/mth at least but my limit may be rm12k/mth at most,
which is still not enough to build a family when I reach 40s and all this inflation over the next few years.

So I have to do something right now to improve myself for my future.
I also think it's time I become a leader to manage people and socialise more.
This is my general plan. Would like to hear the opinion/suggestion of people here if there are better/alternate routes to take.

rm500 budget per month for dating

Hi all, I'm in my early 30s and have allocated rm500 for dating each month.

I plan to date women in 20s, I have not much recent experience with women (have dated in the past and been in 2 unofficial relationships, but I am rusty now)
but now after gaining some financial stability, I will enter the battlefield again as I'm getting older.

So I'm literally going to ask out girls face-to-face as it's easier compared to online dating. Is this enough monthly ammo for regular-looking women nowadays?

Dont worry I'm no creep, I'm just a regular-looking man who exercises regularly (have some muscle and fat).

What I'm lacking is that I dont have my own transport at this age (I will get one after 2 years), and I know this lowers my chances and radar greatly, but I will try my luck with grab/public transport.

I want to get the dating experience while juggling my career.

Having a simple regular-looking woman will do for me, but cannot be malay because I'm not muslim.

Dates will be simple ones, like going out to parks, makan at malls, watch movie etc - all which should be within my budget

First few dates are special a bit, but later on will bring to lepak at mamak on weekdays, so we can do more cool/fun things on weekends.

If I spend rm100 per date, it can last me x5 dates per month

So what u guys think ya? Can jalan?

Edit:
- Budget bumped to rm800/mth
- I've decided I wont be dating for the next 2-3years as I realized that I will not be capable of marriage and building a family 5 years from now.
--- Will re-evaluate my situation again by then if I can possibly meet the 5yr date-to-eventually-marry threshold.
--- Budget will be used for other fun activities in the mean time.

Need help regarding paying my tax

Hey guys, I've taken a business course last year, is it possible to get tax deduction from it? Regarding the education fees.

It doesn't state "business" term there, but there's a vocational one. So I'm sort of confused.

Can I put in the amount or not?

Need Business Advice

Hey guys, so I'm coming up with an app which I would like to release somewhere within this year and I believe that other apps may want to copy its unique features.
So with that idea in mind, I thought of patenting these features regarding their usability and also the algorithm behind some of the features.

Before I run my business and promote it, I want to not let others copy what I did and also prevent them from patenting it so that I can run my business happily.

So far I've taken a look online for the fees, but I'm still clueless and I need help for someone to explain to me if I actually need a patenting agent and who is going to help me write the details of the patent itself.
I know I'm not smart enough to write for my own patent and at the same time I think I would want to create an international patent if possible.

I'm so new to setting up a business and I need to know if someone can provide me answers for these few questions:
1) This is probably a stupid question but should I focus on patenting my features first before I even run the business?
2) How much does a patent cost in total? Including the fees and all that other stuff. Especially for international one.

Would be great if anyone can give any advice.

Need advice on getting a new job

Hey guys, I currently have this dilemma in getting a new job.

Here's my story, many years ago I went to a college & studied Design & a little bit of Web Development.
I had chosen to drop out of my college because I thought I didn't like having to wait for the next semester.
I would always finish learning a subject within 2 weeks & ended up teaching my classmates &
there was a few times where even corrected my lecturer for teaching wrongly (did it only after class so that she wouldn't be embarrassed)..
Btw, I didn't ace most of my subjects because I didn't do the group assignments (usually I would be the one doing it alone while my classmates would be clueless or lazy) &
I didn't even go for the final exams because in my mind, I had plans to go get a job & start working already.
At the time, I was interested in 3D Modeling & Programming (I still do programming).
It was crazy during that time when I was creating DotA 2 items using Blender, I used my ptptn money to buy an intuos5 tablet & taught myself how to do digital painting.
I did everything myself from creating the base meshes, sculpting, painting, masks, baking, animations, etc.
Sadly I couldn't compete with the top artists but people couldn't believe that I made those items, they said I had similar skills with someone of 6yrs experience in 3D modelling.

I ended up not making any money but since I had to pay for ptptn, I went on for a short job at TGV for a few months just to earn money to pay for it.
While I was working, my friend (a girl) then met this business man (let's called him "Z") through her connections/friends on WeChat.
"Z" was a divorced man but a multi millionaire around his late 30s & he was chasing my friend.

My friend who was a model at the time, asked me & the rest of our other friends to go to Penang for diving.
She was really earning a lot of money and always paid for us, she was our "dai ga jie" or big sister since we were all childhood friends &
she always took good care of us.

"Z" started to hangout with us & he paid for every one of us during the trip instead. We even went there with his 2 vellfire.
He has 4 drivers & owns many companies here in Malaysia btw.

We ended up becoming like a family called "The Ohana", my friend was the one who created the name.
Anyway after the trip, my mom told my friend to ask "Z" to get me a job in his IT company.
I was furious about it because I didn't want to depend on anyone but I was around 19 at that time and it seemed like I was gonna work as a waiter/chef at restaurants for the rest of my life.
That was what I saw ahead of me & I didn't like the thought of that, for a person like me who doesn't like staying at the same level to even stoop that low.

In the end, "Z" took me into his company and I started there as an intern. He said that he couldn't give me a high position because he wants to be fair to everyone
and he wants everyone to work hard to earn their positions, I understood that & agreed. He also said that in the future he would want to create a team which would work on projects
& that each person in the team would be shareholders, he was really serious about giving his workers a better life. So at that time, I decided to fully learn everything I could to climb the corporate ladder.

I was then introduced to "X" who has 8yrs of experience in IT at that time & is also the brother of "Z".
"X" became my mentor & to be honest, he really sucks at teaching. I had to learn things myself but he always took credit & told the IT dept head that I was still learning.
I never told "Z" about this until now but right now I'm teaching my seniors about new technologies & the IT dept head still thinks I'm learning even from my seniors when its the exact opposite.
I have been working for the company for almost 4yrs already & during the past 2 years (aside from becoming a Web Developer from Intern), I have not been given a raise at all because of this.

I'm actually a Full Stack Developer now who even deploys new servers & configures them but my title is still a Web Developer with a salary lower than a college graduate.
There was a time where I really got so hurt seeing a college graduate clueless & forgot what he learned in college earning rm3k while I was getting paid rm1.5k at that time.
I ended up had to teach him a lot of stuff, which he benefited greatly from & allowed him to improve at a fast rate.
After only a few months after joining, he received about rm500 raise in salary.

There a friend of mine "L" (the younger brother of my dai ga jie) who joined & also had no knowledge in IT, but I helped him to understand a lot of things.
Now since my dai ga jie has been married to "Z", "X" also has been telling out IT Head that "L" learns very fast.
Now our IT Head told me "L" is a genius & I should continue learn from him, I don't know what to say when I heard about this.
"X" even told our IT Head a lot of bad things about me thats why I didnt get any raise at all.

Until now, I'm still being treated like this but I'm really grateful for them helping me after all these years but I actually should be better off myself working in a real company.
"Z" is a good person but unfortunately the ppl running his company are a bunch of clueless ppl & prefer to prioritize people who are part of their family (I'm referring "X" & "L") instead.
They just leave behind those who work really hard & are actual valuable assets of the company.

I don't want to write a super long story, but fast forward about 4yrs later. Things didn't go the way "Z" originally said, but I'm sure he still wishes the best for every one.
I couldn't really tell him this story because he would most likely be butthurt when I say bad things about his brother "X" treating "L" nicely.
Btw next week "L" is going for a trip to China to talk to the developers there for the new project. I could've been the one since I'm still teaching him, every time he got a problem I would fix it for him & teach him.
But I guess its natural for "X" to prefer "L" and give him more opportunity.

As of now, I'm writing this because I've decided to find a new job as a Full Stack Web Developer but I don't know if the companies I apply for would ask for my current salary
its embarrassing & they would probably treat me bad as well if I told them my story. I don't want pity, I just want want I deserve & to be treated fairly for the job that I apply for.
I currently have these thoughts in my mind, I need help/advice when I go for these interviews.

I'm planning to at least aim for a rm5k salary if possible but what if they ask for my current payslip & epf statement? Advice please.
