I am a fresh graduate, and I haven't declare any income tax yet(salary <2.5K). Just my curiosity to know about how day trader declares his income tax. Any difference if he is a swing trader?

1. How people below declare their income tax?
a. person A is a small investor, earn average of RM 100 each month from stock market through (dividend and capital Appreciation)
b. person B is a swing trader, may be earn average of RM 3k each month.
c. person C is a day trader, may be earn about an average of RM 5 k each month.

2. Any difference if I invest in USA or SG market and I earn from some stocks. Do I need to declare in income tax?

3. What is on that particular year, the day trader did not earn but may be loss like average of RM 1 k?

We declare our income tax is in the yearly basis right?
I hope that some seniors can help me to understand the some processes in declaring income tax when we invest in Stock market.

Investment / Trading Careers?

Hi Everyone,

I like to join the investment/ Trading industry in future, May I know what are the job positions are available?

I heard that to join as Stock Broker/ Remiser, you need RM100k to deposite to the company. So this job is out of question for me.

I also heard about Financial Analyst, but it is a bit hard for me to join as I do not have qualification in Finance or Economic. So, I am now working hard and smart to learn about Finance, starting withe analyzing share, learn how to see annual report and etc.

I read about the financial Analyst positions in Jobstreet or Jenjobs, I found out that the job scope for 2 different companies is not the same. Is it financial Analyst has many types?

How about trader? I do not have much knowledge on that. May I know which company in Malaysia has trader? I also found out that trader also has many types. I can see there is trader position in Multi National Company like Dell, Intel. Does anyone know what they do?

I think i am more interested to join as equity trader to trade the share. May I know equity trader in Malaysia only trade Malaysia market? How about trade China Market, USA market? Is there such a job position in Malaysia?

Hehe.. I hope I do not ask too much questions. I hope some experienced person in this industry can help me to answer my question.
