Difficulty connecting to Xfire

Today I tried logging into Xfire but failed...anyone else with the problem. Previously was working fine.

The Quad Core "Advantage"?

I'm sure many of us here, being enthusiasts, have either dual core or quad core processers. And while quad-core seems to shine in syntethic benchmarks, the real world performance paints a very different picture . Of course, that's not the end of the story. Having quad-core enables u to run many apps at once, like torrents and gaming, along with say RSS feed downloading, virus scans, sytem utilities at full speed.

Has anyone found a piece of software/game that makes good use of the extra cores? Do u think that having 2 extra cores boosts productivity? Or is it just an over-hyped, over-expensive innovation from Intel meant to squeeze every last bit of enthusiast dollar they can get their hands on ? Let the world(or at least LYNians) know what u think!

P/S : My personal opinion is that quad core is worthwhile, mainly because it future-proofs ur cpu investment

What's the best RTS available in Malaysia for online multiplayer play? Must be a decent game, but ping/lag shouldn't be too high either.

Consoles you have and money you've spent

I'm sure that many of us have been gaming on consoles or PCs for a long time. And doing things for so long you tend to realize certain things. Especially how expensive it can be!

Let everyone know how EXTREME you are. What would you give to get your gaming fix? All consoles welcome, both old and current generation(Xbox 360, PS3, Wii)

I'll start off with mine.

-NES X 6 - Wasn't too careful with my stuff then, bricked many units
(Too young to know bout money, probably RM 1000)

-Gameboy classic - wasted too much money on games for this thing, then again was young. No longer in working condition.
(RM 600)

-Sega MegaDrive 16 bit - loved this unit, esp games like Sonic the hedgehog series,
Shinobi, Street Fighter. Burn't a gigantic hole in my pop's pocket.
(RM 2500)

-SNES X 1 - I was older when I started using this so less casulaties.Played a couple of games on the console but cannot remember their names.
(RM 1000)

Total cost : RM 5100

Then became a teenager and switched to PC gaming, probably RM 2000 on games. The computers were used heavily as work computers too, so don't really consider them "consoles"

Currently looking for a new console. Probably Xbox 360. But would rather go for the PS3 if there's an official local launch.

Looking back it feels kinda stupid spending RM 5100 + RM 2000=RM7100 on games. Luckily, I have a brother, so my father didn't feel so bad spending money on his two kids. If I was a single child though my father would probably be this and I'd probably be this

Anyway, that's my story. What's yours? Did your sponsor(parents) or finance minister(u know who) take it well?

Hey everyone, have been lurking around for quite some time, but here's my first post

Have been thinking bout getting an XB360 for some time, and will probably take the plunge next month.

What are the must-have games for any newcomer to the console? Thanks
