Banking Scam: Standing Instruction/Scheduled

This is my personal experience so sharing to you guys.

Usually we heard of bank transfer scam which involves:
- GIRO IBG which scammer can scheduled payment and later cancel transaction
- photo manipulation showing non-exist transaction records

But it's a first time from me hear and face scam by using standing instruction/scheduled.

You might argue that isn't GIRO IBG same as standing instruction?

Unfortunately no, if you are a CIMB user, you can actually use Transfer to other bank/Within CIMB bank with instant transfer or scheduled.
In case of scheduled, the receipt screen will show the transfer type of either those without indicating whether it's instant or scheduled (unless expand the more details), with status "Accepted for processing".
Scheduled transactions can be cancel by user, which is similar to GIRO IBG.
Not sure how other bank "design" their receipt page with better/worse clarity? Maybe you guys can share with me?

The worst part, only the 4th bank customer service agent actually mentioned the transaction was scheduled. Because the first 3 CS:
- didn't even bother to let me know that the first character in the reference number "S" actually stating "Scheduled" as they just insist can't do anything with the reference number in the receipt screen
- and they advise me that it's possible that a Within CIMB bank transfer transaction can have "Accepted for processing" status due to maintenance/down time that might affect processing, making me wait for 2 days working day processing and didn't get anything, which the 4th CS later debunk it

Therefore, if you receive receipt screen from payee, expecting immediate payment, yet you didn't receive in your account:
1. Check for the payment status in receipt screen, anything other than "successful" mostly means payment will no go thru
2. Can consider bullshxt if customer said "unaware" of the scheduled payment, because it requires one more step to schedule date, which normally people won't do for immediate payment
3. (Note to myself) insist customer to make transfer attempts until my account receives the payment, in case the previous transfers successfully later, asked customer to get back the amount from me

Side note, current bank/BNM measure on handling scam cases seems only applies if you're scammed to transfer money to scammer, not the way around.

For me, I had the scammer phone number, receipt screen with transaction reference number (more details not expanded sadly), WhatsApp conversation, yet:
- bank can't provide me a channel to report this individual as they can't check the reference number
- police try hard to advise you to drop the case or just make covering report if the amount is small, which basically just promoting people to scam more. And they wonder why people don't make police report for cases when they just disconcert people to do so

Anyone have this kind of tap? (Not sure which brand)
Water leaking so have to open to chg the o ring.
But the so-obvious cover on top is shut so tightly, i use screwdriver also can't pick open and scratch the cover a bit.

Hi, my uncle's cheque book suddenly deliver to my house (he live with me).
He hairan why cheque book is delivered as he usually pick-up from his local branch.
The Ambank staff thr say cheque book cannot be pick up at branch, only courier.
And straight charge him rm10 courier fee.
Is there any announcement regarding to that or the satff just lazy to deal at branch?

Hi everyone/sifu,

I bought a Daikin ac last year, almost one year suddenly blow warm air.
Daikin technician checked, said got leakage as gas level is zero.
Then the ac installer said gas pipe got hole, weld it and refill gas.
But now not cool as before, compare to previous condition 24 degree already very cold but now only 18 degree setting can feel cool.

Is it something to do with the bad welding cause blockage?
Daikin technician came again, reflush the system and said no problem, but is still not cold zzzz.

Hi guys.

My uncle has ear problem as his hearing is affected due to a recent explosion so went to see this knn Dr Khor Ent @ Pudu.
Rude, unprofessional and whatmore straight say is sinus even though the hearing loss is due after explosion.
Scam my uncle to do CT/xray scan @ Tong Shan, say sinus may affect ear, sinus a bit fluid (second opinion says it's normal) and wanted to operation even though it's not nose problem.
The bill together with scan about RM1k++, can't claim issurance as this knn write nose issue instead of ears.
Ended up see another ent specialist that explain the hearing loss and suggest hearing aids.

Is there a way to complain/report a specialist or doctor for mistreatment, misdiagnosis, and ridiculous charges?
