Jalan Tanjung Bandar Utama closed permanently

BU residents are so happy while Kota Damansara Jalan Surian will be super jammed. But BU residents probably didn't foresee the traffic will also be directed thru Tropicana tunnel to their area. Aman Suria and Sunway Mas will welcome the traffic to their area.
Anyone staying nearby and affected by this closure?

EV Tesla after sales service

Long read.

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/12EYWenqdzQ/

🚗 My Tesla Model Y After-Sales Experience | A Must-Read for Future Owners!
Hi everyone! As a proud owner of a Tesla Model Y, I’d like to share my personal experience with Tesla’s after-sales service. For those considering the upcoming Model Y Juniper, this might be a valuable reference. My intent here is not to criticize Tesla but to provide a clear picture of what to expect in terms of after-sales support.

The Beginning: A Sudden Accident
In March 2024, I got my first Tesla Model Y. Driving it was pure joy—until three months later, I was involved in an accident.
Date of Incident: June 3, 2024
What Happened: I was rear-sided by another vehicle; not my fault at all.
After the accident, I contacted my insurance company, and they arranged for my car to be towed from Johor Bahru (JB) to Kuala Lumpur (KL) to one of the two authorized workshops:
Hap Seng: Didn’t pick up my call.
Sr Ev: They answered, so I chose them.

First Tip:
🚨 Always choose a workshop with good communication. It’ll save you unnecessary stress later.
The Waiting Game: From June to October
Phase 1: Insurance Approval
June 4: I submitted my documents to Sr Ev.
June 11: They finally asked me to fill out the claim form.
June 25: Insurance approval came through.
Time Taken: Almost a month, just for insurance approval. Little did I know, this was only the beginning of the long wait.

Phase 2: Parts Shortage and Endless Delays
After the approval, I expected things to move faster, but Sr Ev’s communication was painfully slow.
Replies took 2-3 days, sometimes up to 10 days.
Repeated delays due to parts shortages, with the estimated delivery shifting from August to October.
Meanwhile, my car sat outside their workshop, gathering dust and even developing mold inside. They didn’t even bother covering it with a car cover!

Second Tip:
🚨 If your car will be at the workshop for a long time, insist on a car cover to protect it.
A Breakthrough: Complaining to Tesla Malaysia
September 2: Frustrated, I emailed Tesla Malaysia detailing my poor experience.
September 6: Tesla finally provided me with a Model 3 as a replacement car. While I appreciated the gesture, the handover process was shockingly unprofessional (just handing over the key and asking me to sign).
September 12: I visited Sr Ev to check on my car, only to find it still dirty despite their promise to clean it.
The Final Stretch: Picking Up the Car
September 26: Out of nowhere, Sr Ev informed me that my car was ready.
September 29: Upon inspection, I found new scratches on the car. They claimed to have spent RM2,000 polishing it, but the result was far from satisfactory.
Later, I consulted a car detailing shop in JB. They told me they could do a better polish for just RM500. They also pointed out leftover polishing compound on my car, further proving the poor workmanship.
I asked Sr Ev to split the cost of a proper polish with me (RM250 each). They agreed, but after numerous follow-ups from November to January, they completely ghosted me.

My Thoughts and Advice
1. After-Sales Service Needs Improvement
While Tesla cars are amazing to drive, their after-sales service is far from the same standard. From communication delays to lack of professionalism, the experience was frustrating.
2. Parts Availability Is a Serious Issue
As someone in the logistics industry, I know Tesla sources parts from China. The Model Y isn’t even a new model, yet it took months for parts to arrive.
3. Vehicle Handling at Workshops Is Subpar
Leaving my car outside without a cover, allowing it to gather dust and mold, is unacceptable. These issues could have been avoided with basic care.

Key Takeaways for Tesla Buyers
Be prepared for long waits: Repairs can take months, so ensure you have a backup vehicle.
Choose workshops carefully: Communication and service quality vary greatly between centers.
Stand up for your rights: Keep all records and escalate issues to Tesla Malaysia if needed.
Manage your expectations: Tesla cars are fantastic to drive, but the after-sales experience might test your patience.
This experience wasn’t the worst, but it definitely highlighted areas where Tesla needs to improve. If you’re already a Tesla owner or thinking of becoming one, I hope this helps you navigate potential challenges. Feel free to share your thoughts or ask questions—I’d love to hear your experiences! 🙌
