PC auto shutdown

hi,
i have a problem with my main rig..it automatically shutdowns while im playing heavy games like NFS Pro Street and Kane and Lynch..the pc will shutdown after about 30 minutes playing the games..this does not happen while i'm playing other games like PES 2008, FM 2008 and counter strike..is it over heating issues? if it is, is it my graphics card?

with the introduction of new processors..chipsets..PCI-E 2.0..energy efficient motherboards..it's difficult to decide which motherboard is worth the money..and unlike some hardcore system builders here, we're not planning on upgrading our motherboard as often as changing our toothbrush..so some help would be grateful for those who are looking to build a system which can last them as long as time permits..

SATA dvd writer problem..

hi..
i've tried using 2 different dvd writers..LITEON LH-16A1S16C and LG GH20NS10..both of which has caused my system to halt whenever i try to burn a CD-R or a DVD-R..i've tried it on XP (BSOD) and Vista Ultimate..is there's something wrong with my pc hardware or the writers itself?

i just bought a pair of Corsair 512MB DDR400 rams..when i fitted it in my mobo with a pair of my 512MB Kingston DDR400 rams, it only detected DDR333..why is this happening? what can i do to make it DDR400?

hi..
i have an internet connection at home..i'm using an artnet modem..it has 4 ethernet ports and a wireless router..my question is how do i secure my wireless connection so that anyone who wants to connect to the internet through my wireless router should login first? for example..my fren brings his laptop to my house..if he wants to connect to the internet wirelessly through my wireless router he has to key in a password that i create..hope that's not too confusing..ur suggestions are greatly appreciated..
