HTC Dual-Core Snapdragon Phone

This thread was opened to talk about the successor of the current HTC Desire HD. We still do not know when it will come. The shortly to be announced HTC Evo 3D is not a GSM phone but the codenamed HTC DoubleShot which is running T-Mo's bands are GSM based so it has potential to be the next international flagship.

So, this thread will be based on general stuffs on dual core snapdragons, what it is potential of doing and what phone which is potentially to be the HTC Desire HD2. This thread will be updated from time to time until there will be an official thread for HTC Desire HD successor. I apologize if this thread is a little bit messy since this is sorta a mixed info of rumors. Once specs confirmed, all irrelevant info will be removed.

Evo 3D will be different perhaps to the GSM version of "pyramid" but we will have the idea of what to expect and what new design/technology HTC is now up to.

Rumored specs for HTC Pyramid (GSM version, not Evo 3D):

1.2ghz processor
768mb RAM
8mp rear facing camera
1.3mp front facing camera

Potential specs for HTC Evo 3D :

HTC EVO 3D features

* Kickstand which allows the phone to stand in portrait and landscape mode
* Front of handset will feature EVO-like metal grill, but there is no room for Sprint of HTC logo
* 4.3-inch qHD 3D display with no fps lock like original EVO
* Handset will be smaller than original EVO 4G
* 1GB or RAM, 4GB ROM
* Data ports and jacks are still located at the top and bottom of the device
* HTC Sense 2.0 with the ability to rotate into landscape mode (think HTC Desire Z)
* Full HDMI output for video, pictures, apps, and even 3D content
* EVO 3D will be lithographed on the kickstand metal
* Large battery that can last 8am to 6pm under stress test
* Dual-core processor is smaller than older Snapdragon processor resulting in better battery life
* 3 megapixel front-facing-camera
* Undisclosed rear camera specs but will features “some cool tricks other than stereoscopic.”
* Battery is interchangeable but shouldn’t be necessary
* Scorpion chipset has built-in DRM authentication which allows for support for apps like Netflix, Hulu, and Blockbuster
* HTC media link will be integrated
* Boot loader will not be locked
* Bluetooth support for keyboard and mouse
* NFC functionality

Source of news, rumors :

http://pocketnow.com/android/htc-pyramid-s...-blurry-picture
http://htcsource.com/2011/03/htc-evo-3d-details-revealed/
http://www.qualcomm.com/news/releases/2010...pdragon-chipset
http://pocketnow.com/android/qualcomm-show...android-handset
http://pocketnow.com/android/htc-evo-3d-ev...-specs-revealed
SPB Mobile Shell 5.0 for Android

SPB Mobile Shell 5.0 is mobile UI solution for device manufacturers and mobile operators. It provides a uniform user interface across most mobile operating systems: Android, Symbian, Windows Mobile and more.

And a review by AndroidCentral - http://www.androidguys.com/2010/02/17/spb-...-android-video/

Im sorry if this has been posted before. It seems like this has been on planning for very quite a while and now its Q4 of 2010 already. The review done by AndroidCentral was on February 17, 2010 . But SBP uploaded the video of the UI on Samsung Galaxy S dated October 05, 2010. Perhaps its on the way for release since it is demoed on the SGS. Hopefully it would launch anytime before Gingerbread is out cuz it might be PWNed by Gingerbread. lol... no one knows how Gingerbread look like but hopefully it would be good. HAving SBP as an option wouldnt hurt isnt it?
