PETALING JAYA: Penutupan jalan akan dilaksanakan di enam lokasi daerah Petaling Jaya bermula tengah malam ini susulan pelaksanaan Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP).

Ketua Polis Daerah Petaling Jaya, Asisten Komisioner Nik Ezanee Mohd. Faisal berkata, enam lokasi tersebut adalah di sekitar Petaling Jaya dan Damansara.

“Lokasi terlibat adalah Jalan 4/56, Gasing Indah, Petaling Jaya serta tiga jalan di Kota Damansara iaitu Jalan Persiaran Mahogani, Jalan Persiaran Jati dan Jalan Persiaran Sungai Buloh.

“Selain itu, Lebuh Raya Damansara-Puchong susur keluar ke Mutiara Damansara/Damansara Perdana; laluan masuk Tol Damansara ke Bayu Puteri berdekatan Tropicana, Damansara dan lampu isyarat PJU 8/1 Damansara Perdana turut ditutup,” katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini.

Nik Ezanee turut menasihatkan pengguna jalan raya khususnya masyarakat Petaling Jaya agar bersabar dan mematuhi peraturan yang telah ditetapkan sepanjang pelaksanaan PKP bermula tengah malam ini sehingga 26 Januari nanti. – UTUSAN ONLINE

Since May 1st, 2013 we have explored Ragnarok Online 2 together. In that time, it has gone through many evolutions. It would not be what it is today had it not been for the community and the team who has worked hard every day to make it the best that it can.

Unfortunately, it is with deep regret that we must announce that Ragnarok Online 2 will not be receiving any further support. Ragnarok Online 2 has struggled as of late, but in the last few years it was thankfully given new life thanks to outside funding. However, despite all the hard work, Ragnarok Online 2 did not meet expectations. This has regretfully resulted in the removal of the development team assigned to Ragnarok Online 2.

Since we know so many still enjoy Ragnarok Online 2, the game will remain open, but without a development team it will remain as it is and will not be receiving any further development, for updates or events. We want to thank everyone who has worked on Ragnarok Online 2 since the servers went live.

the ransomware successfully attacked victims in Ukraine, Russia, Denmark, the UK, and the United States, locking down and disrupting banks, energy companies, and airports.

Potential victims, which have not -- or for whatever reason, cannot -- patch their systems can create a file, set it to read-only, and block the ransomware from executing.

In order to enable the preventative measure, an extensionless file called perfc needs to be created in the C:\Windows folder and made read-only.

The first step is to enable Windows extensions. The C:\Windows folder should then be opened, and a separate tab should open the Notepad application. Create a file called perfc, press enter, and make sure there is no extension added. Now the file has been created, right-click the file and select Properties, and check "Read-only." Copy this file to the Windows folder.

You should now have the file in the correct place to display C:\Windows\perfc.

Other researchers later confirmed the discovery, although some noted that creating a perfc.dat file as well is likely to help.

This might be too complicated for most people. I would probably have them do it this way:
1) Open a command prompt as Administrator
a. For Windows 7, click on Start, then All Programs, and then Accessories.
Right-click on "Command Prompt, and then select "Run as administrator."
b. For Windows 10 (and supposedly 8), right-click on Start for the "Power User" menu and then select "Command Prompt (Admin)"
2) Once at the command prompt, enter these two lines:
echo nope > c:\windows\perfc.dat
attrib +r c:\windows\perfc.dat

This will create a read-only perfc.dat file containing just the text, "nope" in the Windows folder. If you want to make sure you did it correctly, just reenter "echo nope > c:\windows\perfc.dat" and you should get an "Access is denied" message

Strong Earthquake Hits Japan's Honshu East Coast

KUALA LUMPUR, March 13 (Bernama) -- A 6.8-magnitude earthquake hit the east coast of Honshu in Japan at 9.26am Sunday, according to a statement from the Malaysian Meteorological Department.

It said the epicentre of the quake was 181km northeast of Tokyo and 4,092km northeast of Kudat in Sabah.

The department said the earthquake did not pose any tsunami threat to Malaysia.

The quake comes in the wake of a massive 8.9-magnitude earthquake Friday afternoon which triggered a 10-metre high tsunami that lashed the northeastern part of Japan, resulting in up to 1,300 people killed in the double disaster.
