Does anyone knows which hospital has Paediatrician specializing in children gasteroenterology (baby and children digestive/stomach issue)?

I only found one in sunway and another doctor (which his current employment is not updated).

Pain from thumb to wrist

Hi,

Does anyone has orthopedic to recommend in Klang Valley for persisting pain radiating from thumb to wrist? The thumb could not be bend to touch palm without pain. The pain has persist for 6 weeks and still won't go away, despite cold compress (as advised by GP). Now left hand can only take up light items.

Asking for my wife who is currently breastfeeding, so might not be able to consume some medication or do certain procedures.

Special Formula Milk

With our baby's frequent regurgitation, pediatrician had recommended to switch to anti-regurgitation type until his digestive system gets better as he mature. These formula milk has thickener, not so watery so it will stay inside stomach better instead of coming up baby's throat every time he stretches.

She gave us recommendation Enfalac AR or Novalac. We wanted to try Enfalac AR but unfortunately Mead JOhnson told us they are not selling this in Malaysia anymore. As for Novalac, we get a little skeptical as I read the reviews.

Does anyone has recommendation for formula milk (newborn) with anti regurgitation function? I am looking at those 'comfort' formula too, so please suggest if you have one that works for you. I know every baby reacts differently to different formula, just looking for recommendation.

Please... don't ask us to stick with breastmilk. He vomits the worst with breastmilk/latching. Apparently, breastmilk is very light and watery, so it comes up baby's throat even more easily.

Need Urgently

Our 1.5 month baby has been having reflux all the while. For past 3 weeks, we are always woken up by his stretching and grunting followed by spitting out milk and saliva, then coughing and crying. We made sure he s burped after drinking milk and hold him in more sitting position. After 1 hour plus only we would put him down into his cot. had tried elevated his matress a bit with towels underneath it. Still the same.

We had been to govt and private hospital but all dismiss it as normal for newborn especially premature baby.

Yesterday hit the worst. Totally cannot put him on any surface - baby cot, changing mattress or bed. He will vomit milk soon after put him down. He vomit, then gasp for air for a few second, though his face color does not change. He even cough out milk during feeding but when we stop feeding him to let him rest a while, he will keep crying for more milk.

Baby hasn't sleep much since yesterday, looks very tired.

We are at loss. I had taken care of younger siblings and nephew before. They vomit milk, but not this way. Wifey is in a premature baby facebook support group. The mothers in there are the only one who are not brushing the symptom off and urge us to seek other doctors fast.

Appreciate if anyone can recommend a very good pediatrician. We are sick of going to hospital and told it's normal when we have to quickly set him up and put his head face down when he chokes. Wifey is so scared that she's carrying him all day long, which seems to lessen his stretching and reflux.

Babysitter experienced with premature baby

Hi, my wifey and I just receive our bundle of joy a few weeks ago. He is prematurely born and weight less than 2kg. I have been on a month of leave and soon going to return to work. Even with both of us and my mother, we barely manage to handle our little one. We love him, but I start to see my wife is depressed at handling him. He's tiny and needs steady and gentle hand to hold him. He want breastfeeding every hour, sometimes even more frequent. Then need to cuddle all the time (don't ask me why, he just came home that way). He screams, kicks and curved himself to dangerous backward 'c' shape when he gets upset. He gets upset at everything - including startled by his own passing gas sound, burping, bath time etc etc. Yes, so baby is usually awake for crying or nursing only. He even cries so hard that he turns a bit blue when we change his diapers.

I am scare wifey might get post partum depression and I am looking for a babysitter who is experienced in handling premature babies who are soft, fragile and seriously lack of security to ease her burden. Someone with serious patience and very particular about hygiene. So when I get off work, I can get baby from the babysitter and much better when I am home from work.

Please let me know if you have any recommendations.
